Place Albert Ier – Albert I square, Montpellier, France.

In the background, you can see the Cathedral Saint Pierre.

The two old plane trees are majestic and so high. It is said that they were planted around 1682. Behind them is one of the buildings of the Faculty of Medicine. It used to be a very busy square with lots of traffic, but the town decided to make it pedestrian, and that is nice.

In Photoshop I first desaturated the original photo and added a sketch filter, to the shot of the bike and reduced the opacity of the sketch layer to reveal some of the original photo.

I then added a new layer and filled it white. I then added a layer mask, and then, by using a small brush with a low opacity, gradually revealed the image below with varying strokes, adding to the sketchy look and isolating the bike from the original background. (any visible background was removed by using a white brush to erase it)

I then added a new grey layer and added a paper texture and blended it with the drawing.

Finally i added a border and text.
