I wrote these little rhymes around the edge of each of the figure boards. This one reads, "Penny had a penchant for poison, and Charlotte, a taste for champagne. With a tip of her glass, she crumpled en-masse, and never was heard from again."
A photo i took at the first drawing night.
It's rad, a bunch of people get together on a thursday night and draw at word of art in woodstock in an old textile factory.
the photolab ruined my film. this one is one of the few that came out better.
i like this portra stuff. this is my friend bruce
In Photoshop I first desaturated the original photo and added a sketch filter, to the shot of the bike and reduced the opacity of the sketch layer to reveal some of the original photo.
I then added a new layer and filled it white. I then added a layer mask, and then, by using a small brush with a low opacity, gradually revealed the image below with varying strokes, adding to the sketchy look and isolating the bike from the original background. (any visible background was removed by using a white brush to erase it)
I then added a new grey layer and added a paper texture and blended it with the drawing.
Finally i added a border and text.
I tried to draw the model Adriana Lima, except her portrait shot is being interupted by Adrian the Lama.
note: drawing a beautiful supermodel is incredibly difficult, infact drawing female faces are incredbily hard without making them look like a man...but that's one of the best female drawings I've done.
