The model was a beautiful dancer, lean yet muscular. A perfect balance between strength and grace.

I have been looking at pictures tagged "ugly building" They are often modern but not always. Everyone has a different idea of what constitutes ugly.

The funny thing is these photos of ugly buildings are really bad. Now what does that say about the person who took them? A lot if you ask me.

A very rough tracing sketch where I had to invent many of the details -- like the odd eyes and nose --because I couldn't find them in the photo, which shows my rank beginner status in drawing and ignorance of anatomy. Even though this doesn't look quite right I've decided to show it anyway, for now, simply as another example so far of my nondoodling fumbling around with iPad art apps. I might replace it with an improved version or, more likely, just delete it in a few days. You can see why I often retreat to patterns or abstract forms that don't have to resemble anything accurately.

By the way, that glass of beer is just as big in the photograph.

Here's the flickr photo my drawing is somewhat based on (my apologies to the photographer for not doing justice to his wonderful picture): www.flickr.com/photos/sashimanek/42102520/

I spend many hours browsing through flickr and looking again and again at my many favorites, which include some amazingly good line drawings. So if you want to see how good digital drawing can be, one place you can start is to look is at my flickr Favorites. For example, don't miss the drawings of Tom Pokinko and of Julio Giacomelli. Then look at their other drawings and the flickr groups linked to their drawings. I should put together some galleries of my favorite flickr drawings.

Lunchtime life drawing session at work. 90 seconds, done with zen brush app on iPad (using a 1 pixel brush). I like the way the pen bleeds when i stop moving the stylus - it has a bit of a felt marker feel.

In order to pass exam. They are young, they pressure themselves to read and do a lot of no meaning homework.

Construction Engineering drawings involves planning and execution of the designs from transportation, site development, hydraulic, environmental, structural and geotechnical engineers.Construction drawings facilitate a chronological description of each phase of the construction.

Some car drawings I did (my favourite subject back then) between 1982 and '86-'87.

All were done looking at photos from the magazines I used to read ("Car" "Road & Track" etc) or from actual drawings published in the said magazines.

This one is a bit special for me as this was my first car, a 1978 Honda Civic owned by my family and given to me at '83 when I took my licence. (complete with my Greek licence plates from the time...)

I photographed it on purpose to draw it, enlarged the photo, so that it made my life easier and...presto.

Animals awaken, first facially, then bodily. Men's bodies wake before their faces do. The animal sleeps within its body, man sleeps with his body in his mind.
