Working on a rather silly piece, but having a lot of fun doing it. I'll post it tomorrow or the day after. My art desk always looks like this when I am working.

After a photograph entitled 'Sorciere', 1961 by photographer Vincent Lussa (Hungary). His striking image of a sensual, if somewhat androgynous, woman is one of my favourite photographic images. So I attempted a drawing. I failed to capture the features or the expression of the original model but I think I managed to capture something of the essence of the image. Pastel and watercolour.

My lovely muse today is Merlin, based on a photograph by Martin Usborne. Drawn with Platinum Carbon black and Kalligraphie Scriptorium's Oak Gall inks.

...working the permanent inks and having little nervous breakdowns daily, but getting braver.

I found a load of drawings recently on my PC that i never got round to uploading. Quite liked this one although i don't remember drawing it.

Don't think it's quite finished, i should try and find the original.

Could really go to town on the detail on her hat.

a life sketch i did yesterday. the first time i use a nib + india ink in a life sketch. it was fun though didn't feel very comfortable sketching while sitting on the floor, hehe
