Taken from Church Point Caravan and Holiday Park, Newbiggin by-the-sea, Northumberland.

Taken in February last year. I loved the moment and was lucky to capture it. Recently revisited and processed with Hipstamatic.

1. Pertaining to or characteristic of drama.

2. Sensational in appearance or thrilling in effect.

PixNote:

I followed my instinct, and I included the pole, I guess it was to make it less usual and more dramatic. When I discovered the scene, I shot it 10 times with different point of view.... you can have a look at another point of view in my new Weblog, which is still at the "beta" stage or if you prefer still in its infancy!

The weather has in the past few days gone from hot and clear to stormy and rainy. These clouds were in the sky last night just as the sunset broke through after a heavy shower.

Found this one lurking on my computer and thought I'd chuck it on here. This is a fairly unusual sunrise in Barrow, from late last November - enjoy!

Dark, swirling storm clouds dominate the sky, casting dramatic shadows over a vast, open field with hay bales scattered across it. A lonely road cuts through the landscape, leading the eye toward the horizon and the approaching tempest.

Lochan na h-Achlaise in Color #7

Spectacular dramatic weather creates an amazing light show over the Mountains of Loch na h-Achlaise. The tranquil water of the loch reflects the distant mountains, islands of trees, and foreground rocks in perfect symmetry.

Lochan na h-Achlaise is a lake in Rannoch Moor - Scottish Highlands and is nearby to Black Mount, Achallader, and Stob a' Choire Odhair. Near Glencoe, it’s the gateway to the Scottish Highlands and not only produces some of the most dramatic scenery in the world, but also some of the most changeable weather.

The four main peaks in this photo:

Middle Left: Clac Leathad (1098 metres)

Middle Right: Meall a Bhuiridh (1108 metres)

Far Right in the Distance: Mamores Range

Nickel Plate 765 makes a dramatic photo run-by at La Salle Street Station in downtown Chicago, the sharp exhaust beats echoing off the walls of the urban canyon. The big Berk briefly lost its feet coming up the steep approach to the platforms.

An old shot that I have never posted before. Pretty much straight out of camera, it captures the amazing peach colours that one sees in Dubai sunsets.
