When it comes to cycling the Dutch love to double up. Especially on chilly, wintery days like today, it seems like the only way to get around is to jump on the back on your friend's bike and snuggle up close.
The 400 is a bit of an oddball route, and is Abellio Surrey's only service using double deckers except those catering mainly for students.
Yet it only runs about six times a day and last summer was nearly cut quite drastically.
I was only in Ashford for a comparatively short time, and did not design my trip around this service. It just appeared!

This version is using the sRGB colour space. The version prior to this (below) was created in the Prophoto RGB colour space. I am trying to determine if sRGB has better colour translation when uploaded to Flickr. I have been disappointed with the colour of some of my uploaded photos recently. The colour is good before I upload, but washed out looking on the flickr page. This has been a recent development, and my be coincident to my using Prophoto RGB, and leaving the image in that colour space when shrinking resolution and uploading to Flicker.
I think this comparison tells it all. Both this and the prior image were created from the same PSD file, but using the two different colour spaces.

Doubles in black and white. they came out prettu nice. I have to think of a better fill next time. I dont consider this as very interesting
I finally own both versions of the double curved bricks. I really like them, and it makes you wonder why the were discontinued so quickly.
Get pushed Challenge - Mr. Nolene (www.flickr.com/photos/28409144@N06/) challenged me to do a Double Exposure.
This is 2 bingo Dabbers the kids got at a school bingo night. I used an iPhone double exposure app and took the first shot of them from the bottom up and the second shot from the top looking down. Then I used the BeFunky app added the framing. The dabbers were laying on a wooden table surface.

This double meteor event was confirmed by the local Astronomy club Sociedad de Astronomia del Caribe. It was captured on Nov 24 2025 at 10:14pm Local Time (Nov 25 2025 at 02:14 UTC). Taken from a roll of double exposed film, Agfa Vista ISO 200 first put through a Canon Demi-C half-frame camera with the meter set to ISO 400. After shooting half the film, it was rewound and the remaining frames exposed in an Olympus OM10. For the second run, the film was loaded ‘redscale’ fashion into an Ensign Selfix 820 Special with the built in 6x6cm masks engaged. A separate hand held meter was used, set to ISO 50.
The half-frame pictures were all taken within a couple of hours on Baslow Edge in the Peak District, the OM10 photos were taken mainly in Graves Park, Sheffield. The final redscale shots were taken in and around Sheffield City Centre. The film was developed and returned uncut for me to scan using a Canon 8800F flat bed scanner. After making minimal adjustments to levels, contrast and saturation, I made the decision to mostly select crops having either 2:1 or 1:1 aspect ratios. For some of the redscale series I also scanned the sprocket holes, as the image extends to the edge of the frame.
