this endearing lady was all chattery and smiling the minute i would turn the camera away and as soon as i would point it back up, she would lose the smile. i think she was slightly intimidated by it or unsure of what to do.
I saw a double rainbow this morning in the park. Pretty special. No I didn't cry - I laughed a little.

No, that's not an illusion; it's actually a double-trail, one sprayed right on top of another. I hate that every single day I come outside, the sky is already almost obscured by the haze. I don't believe it's a coincidence that ever since the first day the heavy overcast clouds disappeared and the sun broke through, along with the appearance of the chemtrails, that every single person in my family has been experiencing upper respiratory/sinus symptoms. We do not have allergies, first of all. Yet we are all experiencing some amount of icky noses, spontaneous bloody noses, coughing, sore throat... and it's not just us. I walked into the bathroom in Wal-Mart with my daughter the other day, and there was a worker in there talking with someone else about how she sneezed and her nose just started bleeding. No matter where in the county we go, the haze and streaks cover and cross the sky. Over the mountains we see the familiar "thunderhead" clouds, but everywhere else it is lines and swishes and swoops of the highly-reflective particle clouds. It's so weird - when the sun shines "through" them, it doesn't create a shadow. Instead, the area of "cloud" between the sun and us shines and enhances the light as if it were filled with a million tiny mirrors or magnifying glasses. I have been taking photos every single day, from Mill Creek to Marysville, of the horrid pollution, and it still feels hard to believe what I'm witnessing. I feel like we're living in a sci-fi novel. Except it's real.

I was so glad that I didn't pay attention to the weather forecast for today. The weather people said it was going to be wet and miserable so I thought about staying in bed for the whole day. But instead I went to see my local dolphins. I managed to catch this double breach, full in the frame at 300mm. :-)
