Doodling around Batman tattoo

doodle while listening to their 7 track album one or two years ago. it fits the songs itself, it doesn't make a lot of sense on its own.

This is my handiwork from my three-day-long training. The class itself wasn't boring in the least - actually, I learned quite abit. It's more that I've realized that I cannot just sit and listen for extended periods of time w/out falling asleep, no matter how interesting the material. So, to keep from sleeping, I "doodled".

Doodle a Day 2011: 2011-12-11 Long story, short: PmD challenged me to draw something from some scribbles she made. The result is two dragons... kissing. Keut.

Doodle v sešitu, kresba propiskou, tvary a linie, kytice.

I'm going to try to do quick daily doodles to keep myself busy, and most importantly, drawing. They won't really be daily, but hopefully I can get the ball rolling and make the posts pretty frequent.

The them of lumberjacks was suggested and here's what I came up with. I wanted to experiment with using forms versus predominantly using lines like I usually do. I used to hate gradients, but I've noticed I've been using them a lot more due to the interest and fascination with split fountains in silkscreening. There's actually more to the illustration, but I cropped it off since there wasn't much going on and it made the doodle look even less finished than it is. The plaid was fun.

There's a reason I take photographs instead of drawing. These are some of my most sophisticated successful drawings ever. :-> But I thought you might be curious.

Doodles of all sizes were present, from 10-pound minis to 75-pound standards. More than 50 doodles of every kind ran and rolled around 10 acres of freshly mowed pasture on a bank of the Snoqualmie River Sunday Aug. 17, 2014, for the 9th edition of Doodle Romp at Camp Charlie's dog park.

Most of the doodles and scribbles in this set are from the quick-fire drawings that I make as part of my new Bedtime Drawing Regime, where I try and knock out as many sketches as I can in as short an amount of time as possible - just before I head off to sleep. I normally make between 5 and 10 drawings then turn in for the night. I find that the most interesting results come from just putting pen to paper and going for it without really thinking about what I'm about to draw. Some of them turn out quite well - others not so...
