I had got out of the car to take a photo of one of the small shetland's when the pig came running over to us. We both jumped back into the car and the pig lost interest. However, this little shetland was having none of it and was trying to chase the pig away. In this shot the pig showed how quick they can move and literally ran rings round the horse - lol

Everything seems to be uphill in Porto (same goes for Lisbon), so every once and awhile we'd look back for an inspirational view.
Porto Cathedral (featured in the background) was built on the site of an old chapel or hermitage founded by Henry of Burgundy and his wife in 1108. The pre-Romanesque church is mentioned in the De Expugnatione Lyxbonensi as still extant in 1147, so construction of the present building began in the second half of the 12th century and work continued until the 16th century. There were major Baroque additions in the 18th century, and further changes were made in the 20th century.
The cathedral is flanked by two square towers, each supported with two buttresses and crowned with a cupola. The façade lacks decoration and is rather architecturally heterogeneous. It shows a Baroque porch and a beautiful Romanesque rose window under a crenellated arch, giving the impression of a fortified church.

We were exploring a little village whose name I forget now when we saw this gushing water and a long low building, really no more than a roof built on the ground. We were puzzled as to what this could be and Anita wondered if the water was cold. It was.
A bit later the owner of the little "Mom and Pop" store told us it was a spring and that people came from all over to get water from it. I was happy to learn it Was a spring and not... you know something to do with sewage~ LOL
Azenhas do Mar is a seaside town in the municipality of Sintra, Portugal. Azenhas do Mar means ''Watermills of the Sea'' and the name derives from a once-powerful stream that moved the watermills as it made its way to the sea. It is located just 30 km away from Lisbon, near Cabo da Roca, Pena Palace and other attractions.
