O Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar ou Mosteiro de Santo Agostinho da Serra do Pilar localiza-se numa elevação denominada Serra do Pilar, em Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. O edifício está no lado oposto do Rio Douro do Porto, com vista para a Ponte Luís I e para o Centro Histórico do Porto. O Mosteiro pertencia à Ordem de Santo Agostinho e a sua edificação teve início em 1538 e prolongou-se pelos séculos seguintes, em diversas etapas de construção que alteraram significativamente o desenho inicial. Actualmente serve como local religioso, cultural e militar.

This morning at 4:30am, I got out of bed, to go to the beach, to photograph a sea stack.
At 9:30am, I arrived home with a photograph of two trees, on a hillside.
Sometimes, things take a turn, for the better..

Ruínas dos altos-fornos da mina de São Domingos. Esses altos-fornos serviam para torrar a pirita da mina para extrair enxofre, cobre, prata e ouro.
Ruïnes van de hoogovens van de mijn van São Domingos. Deze hoogovens werden gebruikt om het pyriet uit de mijn te roosten om er zwavel, koper, zilver en goud uit te winnen.
Ruins of the blast furnaces of the São Domingos mine. These blast furnaces were used to roast the pyrite from the mine to extract sulphur, copper, silver and gold.
Ruinen der Hochöfen der Mine São Domingos. In diesen Hochöfen wurde der Pyrit aus der Mine geröstet, um Schwefel, Kupfer, Silber und Gold zu gewinnen.

Este miradouro situa-se no concelho da Lagoa, na freguesia da Ribeira Chã.
Situado do lado direito da Estrada Regional 1-1 quem desce o Pisão em direção à Praia de Água de Alto, este miradouro permite admirar a zona do portinho da Caloura.

The monks who lived at Convento do Espineiro produced a lot of wine in their time. In fact, vineyards still surround the property. The barrels of wine were stored in what is now Divinus, the hotel’s classical Portuguese restaurant in the cellar. The hotel's breakfast service is also here.

Perto da Pousada tem uma praça, com playground e a mulecada brinca pra caramba por lá durante o dia e a noite! É muito massa ficar por perto, observando! Risadas de monte, claro!

Gare do Oriente or alternately, the Lisbon Oriente Station is one of the main Portuguese intermodal transport hubs, and is situated in the civil parish of Parque das Nações, municipality of Lisbon.
In 1994, the station was proposed as part of the modernization of the Linha do Norte, a modification to the rail line to facilitate the future development of an Oriente station. Located along Avenida D. João II, over Avenida de Berlim and Rua Conselheiro Mariano de Carvalho, the station was planned to occupy the lands once occupied by Apeadeiro dos Olivais, which was demolished in the 1990s in order to make way for the new station.

We're such big Heroes fans at home but the season finale last Monday left us scratching our heads and exclaiming, "what the....?!" So today's shot is a tribute to Nathan Petrelli... oh, and also for today's photo challenge theme: grass.
