The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte is a Portuguese Catholic shrine in Tenões, outside the city of Braga, in northern Portugal. Its name means Good Jesus of the Mount.
This sanctuary is a notable example of Christian pilgrimage site with a monumental, Baroque stairway that climbs 116 meters.
On 2019 was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

A few years ago my oldest grandson and I were down at the lake and I pointed out two Spoonbills to him, my grandson said, quite correctly, "No Grannie, they are Royal Spoonbills" :-))

Praia do Castelejo es una de las playas más espectaculares del Parque Natural del Suroeste Alentejano y Costa Vicentina: playa virgen de gran belleza natural y bastante apartada de las rutas turísticas habituales.
Praia do Castelejo se rodea de impresionantes acantilados compuestos de esquisto negro , lo que produce un fuerte contraste con la arena dorada y confiere a la playa un aspecto mágico dado el especial microclima de la región, que hace que la orilla aparezca casi siempre entre brumas marinas, potenciando así su singularidad.
Los surfistas vienen atraidos por sus potentes olas... y los fotógrafos por la luz siempre cambiante que ilumina el paisaje que hace que uno desee volver una y otra vez al lugar intentando así captar su esencia etérea.

This is a shot I captured at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 rally course during the morning rally. I really liked the colour and contrast of this car especially as it was caught in the sun amongst a dark woodland scene.
