It has been a while since I uploaded a roe deer image, but this beautiful lady luckily passed by tonight. I observed that during routing season both doe and buck are more brave. She noticed me but still came closer to inspect that strange shutter sound.

This doe and fawn were observed and photographed while hiking near the town of Invermere, British Columbia, Canada. In developing this image, I used Photoshop to apply a few painting brushstrokes.
I couldn't resist a quick snap of this pretty doe that came to say hi at Dean Castle Country Park. However, on viewing the photo on my PC, I found the background too distracting (tufts of colourful grass and bare patches of soil)---a good excuse for some twiddlation! First I converted the image to black and white in Silver Efex Pro (can't remember which exact filter, oops), and then I twiddled the settings a bit further. Then I took the image back into Photoshop and brought some of the colour back into the pretty doe, to create this dreamy effect.
(Having uploaded this and seeing the EXIF data, I'm surprised I got away with this image at all---handheld at 1/13: the deer must have stayed exactly still, and somehow I managed to stay steady enough.)
A young Doe at Golden hour, What more could anyone ask for...
Captured peering over the golden corn field and watching my every move with ears perked up standing so still!
Captured on the Aberdeenshire Coastline after work whilst out a walk with my camera.
Taken with my Nikon D5500 DSLR and with Sigma 150-600C Contemporary lens including 1.4x Converter.
Captured handheld at 850mm.
Doe Castle, in Sheephaven Bay, was a stronghold of the MacSweeney Clan. It probably dates from the middle of the 15th century and is surrounded by water on three sides. It is said that survivors from the Spanish Armada were sheltered here by the MacSweeneys.
Capreolus capreolus
A doe hopped down from one field to another for a few minutes. It was golden hour so her beard (!?) was beautifully backlit.
This was one of four spotted on this date, along the edge of a lake in Shelby Farms Park, Memphis.

One of ten beautiful Roe deer photographed over two weeks, during my early summer roe deer project: www.alanmackenziephotography.com/2019/06/early-summer-roe...
This is an image of a doe out in a small field between two roads during a foggy coastal evening. She was wandering on the road for a while and eventually walked down into the grass. The fog made for a really soft atmosphere. Eventually, she lifted her head and looked straight at me and this is the photo that came from it! I took many more images of her, but this is the only one that really stuck with me. I hope you all can enjoy it as well! :)

This photo was taken in very low light conditions at 5000 ISO with a Canon 5D IV. With just a slight tweak of the noise using Topaz software the noise is almost unnoticeable.
Right after about 12 hours of mostly gentle rain that gave my garden 1.5” of watering, three does dropped by for some birdseed. This is one of them, shot through my kitchen window as she watched me watching her.

I got the last few minutes of sunlight for this, before it dipped behind the trees, and the cold got to me :)
Taken in Richmond Park.
More than fifty of these are scattered throughout the town of Idyllwild. There is also a painted coyote.
I've been focused on bucks recently. Nature has no DEI mandates, but I need to shoot some does and fawns every once in awhile. This is a doe and last spring's fawn feeding on acorns in early morning light. Our beautiful world, pass it on.
Apologies for the repetitions -- know I often upload photos that are quite similar but I'm using flickr as a backup photo archive. I've lost so many photos over the years -- hard drive crashes -- floppy disks that got lost or misplaced, etc. -- that decided to put together a sort of -- backup -- backup -- photo archive here on flickr.
