Old Steine, Brighton. Sussex.
I think these are the best illuminated Dodgems Ive ever seen. It was a pleasure to watch them.
A vehicle that previously worked on the funfairs as the Dodgems lorry - since rallied with a generator on the back, now just as a flatbed.
Seen in Reading 2018
There's a reason for the title.
During a visit to sunny Barry Island recently, I stopped to take a shot of the unused dodgems.
I took this single raw exposure and then thought I'd do a 3 exposure HDR shot.
As I lined it up again I was suddenly approached very briskly by one of the operators, who told me I wasn't allowed to use a camera in the park.
When I asked why, he said "cameras are banned, there's children in the park"
I said "first I've heard" , and he said "You'll have to leave if you don't."
Ridiculous!
Managed to construct the HDR from the single file, but at the expense of quality.
I was also aiming for a better composition. Ho hum.
What's it coming to...?

With thanks to current runner John Davis for allowing me to wander round and take photos while they were setting up for their stay in Ipswich
Met up with the grandkids for a bit of shopping and lunch today and realised there was a fair in town. Think from all the screaming and funny faces they enjoyed themselves!!!
