The "stupid hot" wings were pretty hot. Hot enough that I was tearing, but the chicken needed a bit more flavour. I think I prefer Sichuan-style numbing-hot mode.

Did you notice the correct use of "you're"? These are the things that make teachers truly happy.

There once was a hooker called Sue

Who filled her vagina with glue

When men paid to get in

She said with a grin

You must pay to get out of it too!

taken with my iphone. yay. I had to sneak this because technically it's not allowed.

A shot of a collection of slide cases and index cards taken in the 1990s. The early work of masterminds, Tony Hill as photographer and Ruth Serjeant as archivist is only marginally indicated here.

The twelve slide cases and the fourteen drawers of cards which were finally digitsed with the assistance of Chris Wiltshire in 2011/2012 were finally placed in the Ipswich branch of the Suffolk Record Office.

EXHIBITION

Stefan Sagmeister

THE HAPPY SHOW

MI, MO 10/28/2015, 03/28/2016

MAK-Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art

In The Happy Show explores Stefan Sagmeister, the grand master of graphic design, the boundaries between art and design, and passes over them. The exhibition documents his ten-year-long study of happiness based on videos, prints, infographics, sculptures and interactive installations. It takes visitors on a journey through the mind of the designer and his attempts to improve one's own happiness, by exercising his mind as others their bodies. The Happy Show, which extends over corridors, stairways and showrooms of the MAK and also includes the "gaps" of the museum is, after 2002, Sagmeister's second exhibition at the MAK. In handwritten comments on walls, railings and in the restrooms of the museum Sagmeister explains his thoughts and motives on the shown projects. These personal notes he supplements by social science data of the psychologists Daniel Gilbert, Steven Pinker and Jonathan Haidt, of the anthropologist Donald Symons and important historians (male and female ones) to put his experiments with the psyche and typography in a larger context. The inspiring presentation shows the experiences of the designer during a three-month experiment with meditation, cognitive therapy and mood-altering drugs.

AUSSTELLUNG

STEFAN SAGMEISTER

THE HAPPY SHOW
