This is a very interesting document or warrant for a person to be brought forth for failing to pay a sum of $3.25 which was a lot of money in 1866. This was issued in Randolph County, North Carolina on the 27th of December, 1866. I am trying to share a few things of paper and books for all the people of the Triad and Randolph County, North Carolina.

Gotta love that 70s style bubblish font.

INTRODUCTION. This is a scan and transcript of a bunch of old family letters from about 1820 to 1880. In the late 1870's, my 3rd great grandfather Henry Claydon packed up the family in Solihull, England (near Birmingham) and moved to Greenfield Center, New York, USA. Two others in the Claydon family came to New York before Henry: James Claydon, brother of Henry's father Thomas in 1848, and Thomas, son on James' brother William. James and 2nd wife Charity Rowland corresponded with Rowland/Greene and Claydon relatives in the USA and back in England. The letters contained a huge amount of family information that enabled the building of a detailed family tree. Some of the letters imply or describe life in England and the USA western frontier, including family, farming life, and religious life.

My dear Brother

I was truly glad to receive a letter from you being so far away from me, but nevertheless I often think of you although I may never see you again in this world but trust to meet you again in another & a better world above. I have to inform you [end of page]

[Page 2] that I am married again & I have the satisfaction of saying that I have met with a very suitable partner as to age and other qualifications necessary to make me a good wife. My children are all pretty well, some married & have families. They would like to see you as their uncle James. I am quite [end of page]

[Page 3] sure, but distance prevents them visiting you as it does in my case, as I said before. I hope you continue in the good old way which anon while bring you to that best prepared for all God's own believing children through the infinite merits of the Redeemer, and now Goodbye and may God bless you here & hereafter & accept the love of all of us, myself, wife & children, and don't [end of page]

[Page 4] forget to write as often as you can for by so doing we can hold the only communion we are permitted to hold owing to the vast distance lying between your adopted country & over our native land. So fare thee well and believe me to remain your affectionate Brother, Thomas Claydon

Dear uncle please [forgive] father for not writing before as he had not got your address. [probably Sarah Claydon]

the number of views on the logo files checklist photo is surprisingly high. assuming no one is that interested in just a photo of a sheet of paper, here is a readable version of that document.

it is just a checklist i made for myself to keep track of the final logo files i generate for my clients.

i've been curious about how designer's either guard their process papers or don't have any. i'm obsessed by process and interested in treating these items more like open source software than corporate secrets.

Light is not important as the conceptual physical phenomenon, but as a poetry that it creates on Earth. Through the interweaving of its existence and its absence we perceive the visual world. For those who seeks any other content it is better to turn to literature instead (except, of course, Proust :), who was more a photographer than many photographers are).

Puerto Rico (Spanish for "rich port") is officially named the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, which is an unincorporated territory of the United States, located in the northeastern Caribbean.

Puerto Ricans became U.S. citizens in 1917, and the United States Congress legislates many aspects of Puerto Rican life. However, the islanders may not vote in U.S. presidential elections.Since 1947, Puerto Ricans have been able to elect their own governor. The official languages of Puerto Rico are Spanish and English, with Spanish being the primary language. The island's current political status, including the possibility of statehood or independence, is widely debated in Puerto Rico. A referendum on statehood, independence, or continuance of the status quo held on November 6, 2012.

The terms boricua and borincano derive from Borikén and Borinquen respectively, and are commonly used to identify someone of Puerto Rican heritage. The island is also popularly known in Spanish as la isla del encanto, meaning "the island of enchantment".

Columbus named the island San Juan Bautista, in honor of Saint John the Baptist. Eventually, traders and other maritime visitors came to refer to the entire island as "Puerto Rico", and "San Juan" became the name of the main trading/shipping port.

On Monday, December 19th, we partnered with Lenovo computers to build out the ultimate art-themed smackdown. Hosted at Villain in Williamsburg, guests stepped into a fully imagined warehouse art party. That night it was all about participation. We created a series of art activities to get guests making art and meeting each other. Guests captured the revelry of the night in Ventikoland’s projection photo booth. After some savory Espolón cocktails and tacos the art battle was ready to begin. 2 amazing artists competed head-to-head in a series of timed challenges and a head-to-head battle of creative awesomeness. Interludes were provided by a pop & lock round girl, battling breakdancers, and a duo of beatboxers.
