Since my printer's "acting up," I pulled up my .pdf file that I'd emailed a friend. The original Word doc is in limbo on my old MacBook. Therefore, I looked at the digital copy on my iPad Pro, typed a new doc on my new MacBook, & took a pic with my iPhone 6+.
I re-typed the document & changed some items to fit the upcoming riverboat cruise. And yes, I am in the picture. The iPad Pro & MacBook are laying on my legs. My leg is there.

It's surprisingly hard to get a sense of what's going on in a protest when you're in the thick of it. Here, one protester takes a moment to turn around and take a quick snap behind her.
Some desatution and lower contrast for a more aged feel, but I think the rendering of the Apoqualia is really absolutely stunning. I had never thought I would become so enthralled with a 28mm lens, and I'm curious if I would have had a similar reaction to the Summilux on the Leica Q or the Summilux/Summicron-M lenses.
Some people have expressed interest in seeing how the Apoqualia performs on a non-rangefinder full frame sensor. It's not entirely fair to use the SL here, since I suspect Leica put some thought into how their own (and similarly designed) lenses would handle, but any smearing you see here is a result of my having blown the exposure by not paying attention to the sheer range between the protesters and the open sky.

This book of English heraldry was completed ca. 1589. The manuscript belonged to the Spencer family, as known through inscriptions on the first few flyleaves, including the motto "Dieu defende Le Droit" (God defends the right). This motto has long been associated with the Spencer family of England, which is the family line of Princess Diana, as well as the Spencers who were among the founders of Virginia. The Spencer family's heraldry is included in the manuscript, along with the coats of arms of numerous prominent British families, including the Hasting, Gray, Beuford, and Percye families. There is another similar book of English Heraldry in the British Library, Stowe MS 693, which was also completed at the end of the sixteenth century.

Rankin / Hardwood Hill / Pictou County / Nova Scotia / Canada (first choice) he gave a second choice of Logan's Tannery P.O. - it was cancelled with a - LOGANS TANNERY / N.S. / JA 22 / 01 / - split ring cancel - this split ring hammer was proofed 2 November 1883 and was used until Logans Tannery changed its name to Lyons Brook on 1 November 1903.
Postcard sent from his brother: H.M. Rankin / U.S. A. T. Kilpatrick / Manila P.O. / Eng's Depart / sent from Port Said, Egypt - 4 December 1900. Message on postcard reads: Dear Bro, I haven't time to write a letter at this port, will try and do so, either Colombo, Ceylon or Singapore, India. We arrived at this port this morning & will leave again Thursday for Aden through the Suez Canal. I sent you a letter from ?????? hope you received the same in safely. From Your Bro H. Write as soon as you get this and mail to the Ship so that I will get it before we leave for San Francisco, Cal. - address - H.M. Rankin / U.S.A.T. Kilpatrick / Manila / Eng's Dept. P.O. (It was hard to read the address - so he wrote) Address on other side - turn over / Will write as soon a possible.
The 'U.S.A.T. Kilpatrick' began life as the SS Michigan, beginning service in September 1891 as a cargo vessel with limited passenger accomodation. In 1898, she was sold to the US government, to act as a military transport during the war. She was capable of hauling 840 men, and 800 horses. While not an active participant in the Spanish American war, she did subsequent duty in transport service to the PI, as this log documents. Capt Rogers begins his entries Saturday Dec. 31st 1898, noting relief of Cap. Jeffreys, taking command of U.S.A.T. Michigan, departing for Havana at 9 pm. The final entry is Sept. 2nd, 02, noting position/course details of a "Manila to Frisco" run. This log a first-hand account of the ship's life, recording location, etc. Details of the Captain's or crew's life are, for the most part, absent.
DUFFERIN, (Pictou County), Nova Scotia - Dufferin Siding is located near the head of the south Caribou River on the line of the Canadian National Railways between Pictou and Oxford Junction. It was probably named after the Earl of Dufferin, Governor-General of Canada, 1872 to 1878. An early name was HARDWOOD HILL and that name is in general use today.
LYONS BROOK, (Pictou County), Nova Scotia - This rural area is located on the west side of West River. It was named after Rev. James Lyon an early Presbyterian minister in the province. In 1903, by act of the Provincial Legislature this name was officially given to an area previously know as "LOGANS TANNERY", "Scotch Hill West River Road" and "Lyons Brook."

I ran out of A4 paper so I had to take my notes for the day in my Moleskine. They look alot nice but I can't file them away in a folder like I can with ordinary paper. I think at uni I'm going to use a Moleskine to take notes in. How cool I will be.
Nice selection available here, given the Brundle connection with motor racing it's little surprise to see these Celicas advertised in the 5th April 1979 issue of Autosport magazine.
Interesting that the attractive registrations are given, but can't say whether either have survived as VVG1S is now on a VW Bora and TAH1R on a Mercedes B200.
The Celica GT I pghotographed in the '90s in Ipswich was sold by Brundle at some point.
Ethelyn Hinson is my great aunt. She was nine years old at the time she attended the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. Her family lived in Chicago.
