Taken on a foggy night, I captured these lovely reflections in the Albert Dock.

08375 propels a rake of steel wagons over the swing bridge and into the Boston Docks complex. The wagons arrived on 6E01 from Wolverhampton, worked by a DB Cargo 66 as far as the exchange sidings just off the mainline at Boston where the 08 takes over. Not many places this kind of work happens nowadays! 12/02/2024

February 2019

Millwall Docks taken during the winter heatwave of February 2019. Although this was taken at 8:30am in the morning the light was already becoming too strong, however the docks were perfectly still hence the clarity of the reflections. Buildings featured here are Ability Place, One Canada Square, Pan Peninsula, South Quay Plaza and One Park Drive under construction, and Baltimore Tower on the right.

Another shot on the walk around the Docks, with the midweek explorers, thanks Judy

This tranquil scene captures a peaceful lakeside dock in Finland. The calm water reflects the surrounding trees, creating a mirror-like effect. The serene atmosphere invites you to take a moment to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.

Looking over part of Atlin Lake towards Atlin Mountain. In the mid foreground, a breakwater and pilings cast their reflections on the quiet surface. further in the distance, ice still obscures the lake surface all the way to the far side.

The Gentlemen jus landing their fishing boat were amused by locals making fun of them having their picture taken. Needless to say this was better than their posed shot. Bago City, Philippines

Pembroke Dock station whilst being a little 'down at heel' is still better than the usual bus stop one would expect of an unstaffed station. 150258 waits in vain for custom forming the 17.09 to Swansea. This is the terminus of a 27 mile line from Whitland

Many of these small beetles noted on large dock leaves. Looks like this one has already enjoyed a nibble.

"Space Dock 2017" It's Milky Way season on Cape Cod and despite some recent crummy weather, I managed to squeeze in a few hours of dark sky shooting along Vineyard Sound this week. Some of you may recognize this dock from an image posted previously lit by a full moon. It's also the image on the back of my book. This abandoned dock has lost a lot of its boards over the years but I think it still makes a good subject with this great view of the Milky Way complementing Martha's Vineyard. www.capenightphotography.com

A full power outage on the West Coast Main Line, caused the full closure of Preston. This resulted in South Sefton General handling a variety of services, North, South, East and West. Here we see the unusual sight of Dock Authority number 3, shunting the portion of a Liverpool/ Manchester to Glasgow/Edinburgh service. A Duchess waits to take the stock forward via The S&C

On my way to the beach this afternoon, avoiding the roadworks by taking the dock road. The light was nice. I never got to the beach.

I had been told that the dock here had been replaced, so I wanted to see it. I had hoped that there would have been some fall colors, but I wasn't so lucky....oh well, I will have to go back, lol!

A chance meeting with a great sunset on a shopping trip to Gloucester.

This is the far end of the docks, and good to see the lightship is still there.

It once had a christian bookshop on it (or similar) but last time I looked it was all locked up.

Yes, there's frost on that dock
