Canning Dock was opened in 1737 as the Dry Dock, a protected tidal basin providing an entrance to Old Dock. Having been subsequently enclosed as a wet dock three years earlier,[4] in 1832 it was officially named after the Liverpool MP George Canning. To the east is the site of Old Dock, built in 1709, which was the world's first enclosed commercial dock. Canning Dock would have initially served ships involved in the trans Atlantic slave trade.

Seems like you can walk on this dock right into the sunset. A beautiful sunset on Key Largo in the Florida Keys.
I wanted to use this dock as a foreground element, yet still focus on the beautiful sky in this photo. What's nice about being in the Florida Keys is the views sometimes include small islands in the distance, adding to the scenic variety of this beautiful location.
As the sky is so expansive, I combined 3 exposures from my 6D and TS-E 17 tilt-shift lens using the shift function, without moving the camera at all. I am happy with the result. I hope this image makes you feel like you can be there. Enjoy!

Lovely little spot for a picnic by the lake, where Molly spotted the dock and wanted a wander. An adventurous spirit, or maybe just plain nosey, she enjoys nothing more than new areas to explore and clearly communicates her preferences. She is also uniquely gifted in finding the best breeze in any given location. A useful skill for a Florida dog.
What could be more romantic than docking under the stars?

Mostyn Docks No2, The sulphur wagons will be sheeted over and made up into a trainload for Associated Octel in Amlwch.
A morning filled with fog and low clouds was the perfect pairing alongside the colorful sunrise.
During my post-processing, I wanted to keep this image in line with my editing style to achieve a consistent and clean photo.

Back in Pennsylvania lakes are all over the place.. In Arizona not so much... I was out riding my bike for fun the other day and suddenly I saw water in the distance! I was like a little kid seeing the roller coaster over the hill! I was very excited :)
So I took pictures.. Then the next day I took ashley there and she was just as excited as I was! So I took some more pictures..
Moral of the story is we love water, and miss Pennsylvania...
