The Divinity School is a medieval building and room in the Perpendicular style in Oxford, England, part of the University of Oxford. Built between 1427 and 1483, it is the oldest surviving purpose-built building for university use, specifically for lectures, oral exams and discussions on theology. It is no longer used for this purpose, although Oxford does offer degrees in Theology and Religion taught by its Faculty of Theology and Religion.
The ceiling consists of very elaborate lierne vaulting with bosses (455 of them), designed by William Orchard in the 1480s.
The building is physically attached to the Bodleian Library (with Duke Humfrey's Library on the first floor above it), and is opposite the Sheldonian Theatre where students matriculate and graduate. At the far end from the Bodleian Library entrance, a door leads to Convocation House (built 1634–7).[1]

On sea shore a woman taking holy dip, a man searching for coins thrown by pilgrims using magnets, a Brahmin with his calf waiting for GO-DAN (a ritual where a calf is given away as alms to a Brahmin), a woman passes by.
In The Philosopher’s (Sorcerer’s) Stone released in 2001, the Divinity School, part of the Bodleian Library, became the sanatorium for Hogwarts. Wizard pupils Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley would go there if they fell ill
The ceremonial entrance to the Sheldonian Theatre is on the south side, facing the Divinity School in whose north wall Sir Christopher Wren made a door through which processions could pass from the Divinity School to his new Theatre. Above the door from the Divinity School is a monogram of Wren's initials, and under the arch an inscription in Greek painted on an open book, taken from St Luke's Gospel, Chapter 2, verse 46, the English translation of which reads:

Divinity saw my little Zed and immediatly adopted him as her own. He has gone with us each time we do a Dr appt or procedure for my dad but he just never came out of my purse for a picture - so he debuts today :D
Lots of big windows allowed for natural light. The library upstairs especially needed it as no naked flame was allowed. Reading and studying was done by daylight only.

It was the location for a men's dorm building (Crawford Johnson Hall) before it was renovated. Dedicated in 1995, and named in honor of Andrew Gerow Hodges in 2002.
