My dissertation handin is in 3 days. This is what I have to keep me alive until then.
Note that I do, of course, have a lot of coffee, but that's in the kitchen.

This small booklet was issued in connection with an exhibition of "300 years of Catering" held at the Tea Centre on Regent Street in London during November 1947 and even the appearance of such a small publication must have been a flicker of hope in the dark winters of post-war austerity. The text is a dissertation by James Laver that covers the span of time described in the title and ends with such then High Street stalwarts such as Lyon's Tea Shops, ABC Cafes and fish and chip shops!
The booklet is printed at the Curwen Press in Plaistow, East London, and the cover is by Stanley Clarke Hutton ( 1898 - 1984). Clarke Hutton started his career as a stage designer but joined the Central School of Arts & Crafts studying lithography under A. S. Hartrick and when the latter retired Clarke Hutton taught the subject himself until retirement. His illustrative work using lithography bore fruit in many of the Puffin Picture Book series, produced by Penguin Books, and I recall the series of Picture Histories he illustrated for Oxford University Press.

Работа состоит из двух томов, проиллюстрирована прекрасными старинными фотографиями. В конце второго тома представлены архивные документы к разделам и главам. На основании исследования и архивных данных делается вывод, что оба зодчих Михайлов и Бове были равными в создании этого замечательного здания, внесли творческий вклад и прекрасно дополнили друг друга. Театр был детищем обеих архитектурных школ – Московской и Петербургской. Попутно рассмотрен вопрос об отличительных признаках этих школ. Проделан анализ сравнения Большого театра с русскими театрами, а также с современными ему лучшими мировыми театрами, что позволяет Петровский Большой театр и Александринский театр в Петербурге поставить на одно из первых мест в истории мирового театрального зодчества.

Essay day! Went to the library as soon as I woke up, the more I read about my essay question the more I hate my tutor -- they are not making sense!!!! >.<
Went to International Building after the library is closed with my girls, and Abdul joined us to do his dissertation with his giant map. It looks like a giant ciggie or a pole to me lol. Can't believe we are in this room again, bloody dissertation memories all over the place.
Had nice Village pizza for dinner and made a short 20 seconds video of Dhwani and Vale with 10 takes. haha. It's nice to work as a group, being more productive than any day in the holiday. But honestly can't wait to get over with the work :|

Диссертация на соискание кандидата юридических наук Тахо-Годи Хаджи Мурата Аликбековича была защищена в 1950 году в институте судебной медицины и была посвящена новой методике своего времени в судебной фотографии, а именно – стереофотографии. Автор в научной работе показывает и доказывает обоснованность применения данного метода на практике. В диссертации излагаются данные экспериментальных исследований и их результаты. В работе представлены стереофотографии, которые оформлены как приложения. Фотоснимки сделаны по правилам судебной фотографии и объективно фиксируют данные, которые были обнаружены в ходе следствия. Именно эти данные помогли в своё время установить истину по делу и потому, по мнению автора, являются одним из видов доказательств.
