Каждый том это своеобразный экскурс в историю возникновения и создания архитектурных шедевров того времени: крепостной театр (усадьба Кусково, Останкино, Архангельское), первые городские театры Петербурга и Москвы. Фотографии хорошо сохранились и детально разворачивают перед нами историю возникновения шедевров, которыми мы восхищаемся и по сей день. Научным руководителем данной работы был Игорь Эммануилович Грабарь – русский советский художник, искусствовед, просветитель и музейный деятель.

How to Start Right: Lessons from a Second Life orientation for 1100 graduate students with Jeremy Kemp. San Jose State University's School of Library and Information Science is the largest of its kind in the world. Students starting the program in Fall 08 and Spring 09 completed a mandatory orientation including a section on Second Life. Most of them were able to create an avatar and visit the school's island.
Others completed a reading and quiz option. Kemp is surveying this large population and basing his dissertation on their feedback.

The last stage that a researcher has to go through, before submitting his dissertation to the review committee, is Dissertation Proofreading. The motive of this stage is to remove the minutest flaws from the dissertation, like the spelling and typo errors, wrong punctuations and spacing, grammar and logical sequence of the structure.
For my upcoming dissertation I will have to do a lot of research, so to motivate myself to do it I made a special notebook. The pages are partly printed preparation, partly scrap paper I had at home from various old notebooks and school exercise books.
For reference. This is a contemporary street layer, but the basics still apply. I-35 was built on the route of East Avenue, which was a fairly large street in this period. The Mo-Pac follows the RR line (the thick, dark line) to the west.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, the central tract where all the students live has the highest median education. In 1940, Austin had a population of about 88,000, the first sign of a major influx of residents. This indicates to me that a significant proportion of immigrants were not yet well-educated (ie college degrees or higher). Males are blue, females red, unknowns grey.
