President Ford teeing off in the Pro-am Pre game of the 1985 Memorial tournament in Muirfield village Ohio. Also in the shot are Perry Como, Jack Nicholas and Fuzzy Zeller

Several years after taking this shot, I had the great pleasure of spending 4 hours with President Ford, one-on-one (plus two secret service men), and being invited by him to play golf with him in Palm Springs. A special moment for me.

Film negative taken with Fuji Superia 100 ISO color film and Minolta camera. Taken in 1985, I digitized this, some 34 years later.

In 1990 my wife and I were off-roading in our SUV heading for a remote natural hot water oasis – to skinny dip in private – high in elevation in Death Valley. On our way we past by an easy to access natural hot water pool with maybe 30 completely naked people camping there for the weekend. One of the campers had placed this skeleton in a chair relaxing in the hot sun. Interestingly, the campers almost all wore nothing but a hat and they fixed the skeleton up in the same way – just a hat. Too unusual not to capture in an image. Taken in 1990 using a Minolta XD on undocumented negative film – probably Kodachrome - and digitized using a Canon R5 in 2025.

The original film has stood up reasonably well to 35 years of aging.
