This all started with the challenge theme and the furry blue phone (created, along with the pillow, by Uzumaki Cepeda) which I shot at a museum. The phone needed something to sit on and that led to the furniture (by Mary Heilmann) photographed at another local art exhibit. From there it just kept growing until at one point I declared it finished :-).

CHEF SEGUICOLLAR challenges us to create a surreally colorful landscape as follows:

Your image must be a pure landscape (i.e., without any man-made objects).

The landscape must be surreal, with no elements of a natural color (e.g., no brown tree trunks, blue water, white moon, yellow sun, etc.).

There must be two animals: one terrestrial AND one aerial, no matter the size.

You must include some geometric element (circle, square, triangle, etc.).

NO GREEN.

CHEF Tim Noonan wants us to take inspiration from the zodiac!

The focus of your image will be your zodiac animal, either from the Western** or Chinese*** zodiac (one OR the other, not both in the same entry).

The mood must be dusk or dawn (could be sunset or sunrise).

Include an urban structure (bridge, tower, dam, etc.).

And an everyday, man-made object (bottle, toy, shoe, etc.).

NO PEOPLE

**Not all months in the Western Zodiac have animal associations. HERE'S THE LIST. (Since the archer of Sagittarius is half horse, we're allowing the horse as the animal for that sign.)

***The Chinese Zodiac is calculated by year of birth. USE THIS TOOL to find yours.
