This is a composite of two photos of Lorikeets that I shot at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA.

I shot the background photo out the window of a plane. I had to clone out the tip of a wing and some splotches from the plane's window, but otherwise it's pretty much SOOC: no color enhancement, just a very wee bit of blur.

No peacocks were harmed in the creation of this image. In fact, no peacocks were even photographed for this image! It started with a fractal from the Frax app on the iPad; was embellished with iColorama; and polished off in Photoshop on the iMac.

I learned from my Dad, who prized his luscious, green, bentgrass lawn, that dandelions were the Enemy! Since then, I've come to appreciate the lovely little yellow flower ... though I must admit their greens are distinctly unattractive :-).

In case you've never spent much time in the Windy City, the "bubble" you see in this image is a sculpture by Anish Kapoor officially named "Cloud Gate" but known to Chicagoans (and most everyone else) as the "Bean." To get an idea of its scope, click HERE.
