This is a composite of two photos of Lorikeets that I shot at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA.

I shot the background photo out the window of a plane. I had to clone out the tip of a wing and some splotches from the plane's window, but otherwise it's pretty much SOOC: no color enhancement, just a very wee bit of blur.

No peacocks were harmed in the creation of this image. In fact, no peacocks were even photographed for this image! It started with a fractal from the Frax app on the iPad; was embellished with iColorama; and polished off in Photoshop on the iMac.

I learned from my Dad, who prized his luscious, green, bentgrass lawn, that dandelions were the Enemy! Since then, I've come to appreciate the lovely little yellow flower ... though I must admit their greens are distinctly unattractive :-).

Doesn't look like winter, does it? Winter is the season in L.A. when the Bird of Paradise plants are in full bloom. This image is a compilation of three photos of Bird of Paradise flowers that I shot in my front yard a few days ago ... with numerous effects, of course, to make them look like actual birds of paradise in flight.
