Created for Award Tree's "Water Works" challenge.
Dophins and gulls courtesy Pixabay. The background is a shot I took of Long Beach as the whale-watching boat I was on left the harbor, so you're seeing the wake of the boat.
This was a couple years ago and we only saw one whale, plus I got mildly seasick when the boat stopped moving forward and sat there bouncing up and down in the choppy seas as we waited (seemingly interminably) for the whale to breach about four times.
Created for Award Tree's "Art Tools and Materials" challenge.
I shot the original photo in an artist's studio in Venice, CA, a few years ago.
Created for the Artistic Manipulation Group's MIXMASTER CHALLENGE #12 with Chef Temari's recipe:
➤ Your image must contain a HUMAN FACE (as in no mannequins) prominently featured. (If you include more of the body than just the face, it should be minimized in importance.)

➤ at least 1 of the Four Elements (Earth, Water, Air, Fire) and ...
➤ at least 80% should be warm colors (reds/oranges/yellows/blends) but ...
➤ NO GRASS!
Last Sunday, I had the privilege of participating in a workshop called "Cameras and Dancers" where photographers were paired with dancers for the opportunity to shoot them in a myriad of poses. The location for the shoot was Union Station – a marvelous, historic building and the hub of Los Angeles's metro system.
I got so many wonderful shots that I expect you'll be seeing many manipulations of them in the next few weeks and over time.

Created for the TMI challenge "In the Style of … Klee, Rothko or Warhol". Find it HERE.
I based this on Klee's "The Goldfish" which is a delightful work. I painted the fish a while back for another image and then modified them for this one, adding some Klee-like markings. The littlest fish, though, was made just for this piece.
Created for TMI's March contest: Rain Drops.
