Trying my hand at something different. This will hopefully end up as a physical 1:150 scale studio-style model (mountable at several points to a stand, internally lit, about 1.5" long). I also have plans for a few of the other Imperial models I've posted here already, though those will take a while to get anywhere.
My original design looked much more like Moff Gideon's light curiser as far as its layers were arranged. I wanted this thing to be larger than a Gozanti and more heavily armored. Then, I found this concept and I decided to make mine more sleek. I kept the four TIEs hanging off the front, but I reduced the secondary hull layer, removed the edge cutouts, shortened the rear, and tapered the bridge. I'm much more happy with it, even if it is now the exact same size as a Gozanti. I'm still not sold on the bridge though--I'm going for a modern naval look (Cyclone mixed with Independance and Freedom)...

Something completely different for me, on a dark and rainy day I took my family to the dinosaur museum in Sandown. Whilst it wasn’t the greatest display of prehistoric giants we have ever seen it still gave me the odd chance to take a random snap.
This is my first encounter with the new Great Southern Rail 'The Ghan' livery and it doesn't look too bad, although the original logo on the front looked nicer than this.
Here in its relatively 'new' paint, NR109 leads NR46 and NR69 past Gowanbrae near Airport West with 6WP2 loaded steel train from Woolongong, NSW to Perth, WA

this is different for me.... different processing....different light.....different style all together. I did my best to channel my inner ANTM and have her work it for me.....what do you think?
I had a different image in my head of how m&m's bouncing on a table would look and I don't think it turned out as well as I would have liked.
I used a photo program to brighten the colours and turn the background grey and because of this I do like the colour in the reflection.
I took a photo of the same are using the manual white balance and manual exposure. This is what I got. Oddly enough, sometimes the auto iris and auto white balance works out better. For the previous photo I did not do much tweaking on Lightroom and Photoshop express to get what I wanted. This one, however, took a bit longer. The shadow areas are much darker, despite efforts to brighten things up to make it look like the other photo. Interesting how things work.
So last week Robin Wilson posted THE best shot I have seen from Garden of the Gods(go to www.flickr.com/photos/12899218@N00/4922078720/) I wanted to do a little comp-stomping so Robin was kind enough to take me up there Sunday morning. Though I did take this same comp, mine doesn't even come close to his so I'm not going to embarrass myself by posting it!! We got skunked on the sunrise but I'll be back at this location for some shots with a better sky (and maybe some snow on the ground!! That would look cool!)

Hidden geometry beneath Oostende’s iconic Westerstaketsel. One of the longest wooden piers from the late 19th century still stands. Underneath the pier, design, textures, tides, marine life, and time come together to tell the story of this enduring structure. I wanted to create a fresh perspective on a timeless landmark.
A nice colorful sky this evening. Every sunset has a different feel and look. This one had several thin clouds illuminating with various shades of orange. Adjusted the white balance to bring out the golden tones.

The Daughters of the Nile:Women in Ancient Egypt. The material for this exhibition comes from museums all over the world. However my photographic record, although comprehensive, is incomplete because not all the lending institutions permit photos!
