It's been so overcast... I had to take the pics outside. The colors actually look kind of vintage in this one, but not too happy with the other pic's. :-/

I've had several different people tell me that I should visit Bishop's Castle while I'm here in Colorado. I had never heard of the place, so I did a little research.
It's about 50 miles southwest of Colorado Springs. It was singlehandedly built stone by stone by this nutty guy, Jim Bishop. He's been working on it every single day, since 1969. It will never be finished. He just keeps adding to it. It's completely open to the public. There is no admission fee, just a donation box.
To call this guy nutty is an extreme understatement. I found a few websites talking about this place. They warned, "don't bring your kids here, in case Jim is on one of his rants" The government and him have been at each others throats for decades. They've tried to shut him down a hundred times for a hundred different things. Code violations. Lack of building permits. They've told him that he can't allow the public to wander in his castle. They've told him that he can't gather rocks from public land. He's told them to kiss his ass! They arrested him and tried to put him in jail for a multitude of different violations.
So… After reading all that, I was hoping I would get to meet the guy. I did. WOW!! Ummmmmmmmm… Just WOW!!!!!!!! Yeah… He is a little bit 'out there' This guy is certifiably insane! I'm not particularly fond of politicians or our government in general, but this guy… WOW! I said nothing more than, "Nice to meet you. Amazing castle. I can't believe you built this all yourself." He said, "thanks" and within 37 seconds, started YELLING and SCREAMING and RANTING and RAVING about the FUCKING GOVERNMENT!!!! I've seen some people who are anti establishment and who are into the whole conspiracy theory, but WOW!!! Nothing like THIS! It was hard to take it all in. Most of what he said went completely over my head. He just walked around kicking things and yelling! Stuff like… 9-11 was an INSIDE JOB! George Bush and Osama Binladden are friends! They planned this while thing together! The governments entire Purpose is to SCREW US! Everything they do is anti-constitutional! They can't fuck with me! I'm above the law! Let's see them try to come on my property again! I'll shoot them ALL! REPUBLICANS! DEMOCRATS! COMMUNISTS! MARXISTS! They're all the same! Oh… And Jesus is coming back soon too.
Here's a short documentary I found on youtube about this place. Towards the end, you can see Jim get into one of his rants. Nothing nearly as extreme as what I saw yesterday though.

Here is a much shorter video of one of his rants.
...forget about questions, forget about how it appears, forget about how it looks, just care about how it feels...
...I am not into questioning, in fact I am sick of doing that for work. Getting down to the root of everything. I just want to relax and feel comfortable. Thats what I have set out to do at the begining but some how I have lost my direction...
...Don't get me wrong, what is in front of me might still be an illusion. But it is not a question of trust. What I see may still be something not quite as simple as it looks, but if it feels right...am i willing to get to the bottom of it?
...see for yourself and judge for yourself

- Why does our giant god place us on a piece of paper, what is that device in his hand?
- Oh I think it is a modern camera obscura, but a high-tech one, I have seen the wizard use a similar tool, a box with a pinhole that captures light and our image.
- So it is true, our god is gonna sell us, I guess we didn’t please him well enough!

This is a different version of the Stormtrooper photos I posted yesterday ( www.flickr.com/photos/133750589@N08/22276592196/in/photos... )
In this version they are marching through the swamp under the beams of the alien sun.
I added two light leak effects and I made the colors a bit more "reddish".
How things change over the years. Originally during the era of the 35mm film cameras it was considered a problem, now we intentionally create the effect with softwares :)
I often use this technique because it creates the feeling of a scene taking place at sunset or under "unusual" light conditions and this is perfect for Science Fiction settings :)
Anyway I hope you like the photo. The swamp scenery is the base of an old Star Wars statue.
May the Brick be with You :)
There are about 30 different species of Muscari, but only 4 or 5 are widely available.
Best known are the Muscari armeniacum or, as they are more commonly known, Grape Hyacinths. They are so named because their clusters of small, bell-shaped, cobalt-blue flowers look like clusters of upside-down grapes.
Cultivated varieties of Muscari armeniacum come in different shades of blue, and one variety comes in white.
I have tried on several occasions to get a decent shot of Muscari, but for some reason couldn't do it ... this time I took out my trusty D90 +Sigma macro lens and ... well maybe not 'bingo' but certainly the best yet!!
Slightly different angle for this one, And in colour. Bo'ness Town Hall.
Built on the site of what was originally the manse of the minister of the Old Kirk in Bo'ness and opened officially in 1904. The municipal building, situated in the grounds of the Glebe Park, served as the headquarters of the burgh council until the 1970's. It also originally contained the local library, funded by the famous industrialist and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie.
Now under the governance of Falkirk Council it serves as a venue for local events and concerts as well as a home for local clubs. It also reserved for wedding and civil partnerships ceremonies. Every year, the building and surrounding park host the main celebration for the annual children's fair festival.

Skansen of the Jamno Culture in Koszalin, Poland.
A geographically limited area, which is defined by certain social, cultural and political conditions and clearly different from the surrounding region, is known as a cultural island. This phenomenon is exemplified by two small villages, Jamno and Łabusz, situated between the shore of the Baltic Sea and the Jamno Lake and bounded by swamps and boggy meadows. Because of their location, Jamno and Łabusz used to be inaccessible for a large part of the year. The locals could visit the neighbouring villages and towns only during a draught or frost, when the surrounding marshes dried up or froze over. Even though the town of Koszalin lies only 6 km away from Jamno, the road between them was completed only in 1899. Interestingly, Jamno’s cultural isolation lasted until the second half of the 19th century. Its inhabitants were tied by kinship and common customs only with the neighbouring village of Łabusz. They intermarried only within the two villages, and reportedly the first outsider married into one of Jamno’s families only as late as the last years of the 19th century. After the 2nd World War almost all the villagers were resettled elsewhere, only a fraction of the original population remaining in Jamno; it is their descendants that today pass their knowledge and skills to the following generations.
The exhibition pertaining to Jamno was created in the early 1980’s. In 1983 the museum acquired a timber-frame fisherman’s cottage dating from 1869. The cottage was moved from the village of Dąbki, c. 20 km northwest of Jamno, where the same architectural solutions were used. Another exhibition, called “History of the Pomeranian Smithy” was opened in 2005 in the renovated barn dating from 1882, which was moved from the village of Paproty (about 25 km from Jamno). The third section of the museum is a 19th-century outhouse, also from Dąbki, which houses a reconstruction of a shoemaker’s workshop. The museum not only protects the material aspect of the Jamno culture, but also strives to revive local customs and musical folklore.

Skansen Kultury Jamneńskiej w Koszalinie.
Społeczność zamieszkująca podkoszalińskie wsie Jamno i Łabusz miała swoją specyficzną kulturę, obyczaje, obrzędy i sztukę. Była słowiańską enklawą otoczoną morzem niemieckości. W 1945 r. w ramach powojennych przesiedleń potraktowano ją jak ludność niemiecką i zmuszono do opuszczenia swoich gospodarstw. Mieszkańcy Jamna i Łabusza wyjechali wówczas do Niemiec. Pozostała po nich tradycyjna zabudowa oraz szereg niepowtarzalnych sprzętów i narzędzi stanowiących wyposażenie domów i zagród.
Skansen został utworzony w 1982 roku w wydzielonym Dziale Etnograficznym Muzeum w Koszalinie. W obrębie zbiorów można wydzielić następujące kolekcje: zabytki kultury pomorskiej, zabytki kultury jamneńskiej, zabytki grup przesiedleńczych oraz wytwory współczesnej sztuki ludowej i rękodzieła. Dział jest organizatorem dwóch konkursów: Rzeźba regionalna Pomorza Zachodniego, Ludowa i nieprofesjonalna twórczość plastyczna Pomorza Środkowego, którym towarzyszą wystawy pokonkursowe, a nagrodzone prace wzbogacają kolekcję współczesnej sztuki ludowej działu.
Something a little different from Glastonbury. You need to be up before dawn to catch the early departures - 04:00 should do it - but then nobody expected the early morning fog! Great event - see you in 2027!
Soon the colorful flower will dry up and fall to the earth, Then, the Artichoke will ripen and can be harvested.
This Artichoke and several others were found in a neighbor's Jerusalem garden.
I am being creative with different bodies. Got my first legacy body. I love the Latina curves around the hips. Now if Maitreya and Legacy could get together and have a baby that would be amazing. I love the natural breast of Maitreya and the boisterous hip and bum curves on legacy.

I was kind late this afternoon, I woke up feeling okay but then made a discovery that made me a bit down and, well, I had to expend energy I hadn't expected to so I took a while to feel like dressing again, then I thought I might as well eat my dinner first.
Anyway I thought a change would be good today, I don't often wear anything but skirts and dresses and, although this of course is a dress it's of a length I'd rather not wear as a dress as such. I was going to wear black leggings with it, but then I found these which are actually ex my ex's which she left behind to be thrown out. Which would have been a pity as there's nothing wrong with them.
