This is a little different than what I usually do. I do not know what kind of plant this is, but it grows on the west coast.
Back to the Norfolk Broads and another image from St Benet's Abbey going with a different style of orb from to one I posted before. This was taken a little earlier than the other one when the light level was much higher so I added a 3 stop ND filter to give me a longer exposure and allow me to move around without showing up on the image. Again done the same way as the last image, I created the orb then lit the building from the sides to bring out the textures of the stone, moved behind the arch to light the rear structure then finished the image with a light pass of my torch to illuminate the grass in the foreground.(Olympus EM-1 mk2 7-14mm f/2.8pro 6 secs Live Composite over 6 minutes f/6.3 @ 8mm NiSi ND8 (3 stop) filter)
Heading north 222007 makes up 1F52 St Pancreas to Sheffield. The dark green palisade is the usual metal type where as the light green part is made of plastic, and only found in short section like this.
Different birds arrive with the colder temperatures. Yellow-rumped Warblers and Dark-eyed Juncos for example. Coming south for the warmth, I guess. Early morning photo. This is a Chickadee.
Our lives affect to other people's life like a cogwheel turns the other cog. Some of us might be coloured differently than others. Some of us might seem small and almost invisible to others. Some of us are prominent whom everybody recognise.
No matter what kind of cogwheels we are, we all "move" other people emotionally, spiritually or physically towards good or bad. We can make her happy with our kind words and our smile or press down by cruel ones.
And as prominent ones often move many other cogs, sometimes only one tiny cog is needed to make a difference and move the prominent ones.
Let's begin to make at least one person happy everyday and so turn humanity to happy clockwork!
Somewhat different from the usual, this is a frosty glass ornament I saw in a friends garden. The picture was taken at dusk, which is where the overall colour comes from.
today's underwear. it's a totally different world these days the modern way of of dressing. it's all practical and boring not only the out clothes such as leggings baggy tops or jeans and a practical blouse. but even the underwear is dull. t shirt bras yawn boy briefs still yawn. seems like they can't have a little luxury close to them anymore. OK garter belts and stockings are a pain granted. but nice nickers and matching bra why ever not. slips are a thing of the past I don't think you will find a pretty one in any highstreet shop.
maybe it's just me maybe it's just the male fantasy thinking those items are what I should wear.

Star clusters are common structures throughout the Universe, each made up of hundreds of thousands of stars all bound together by gravity. This star-filled image, taken with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope’s Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3), shows one of them: NGC 1866.
NGC 1866 is found at the very edges of the Large Magellanic Cloud, a small galaxy located near to the Milky Way. The cluster was discovered in 1826 by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop, who catalogued thousands of stars and deep-sky objects during his career.
However, NGC 1866 is no ordinary cluster. It is a surprisingly young globular cluster situated close enough to us that its stars can be studied individually — no mean feat given the mammoth distances involved in studying the cosmos! There is still debate over how globular clusters form, but observations such as this have revealed that most of their stars are old and have a low metallicity. In astronomy, ‘metals’ are any elements other than hydrogen and helium; since stars form heavier elements within their core as they carry out nuclear fusion throughout their lifetimes, a low metallicity indicates that a star is very old, as the material from which it formed was not enriched with many heavy elements. It’s possible that the stars within globular clusters are so old that they were actually some of the very first to form after the Big Bang.
In the case of NGC 1866, though, not all stars are the same. Different populations, or generations, of stars are thought to coexist within the cluster. Once the first generation of stars formed, the cluster may have encountered a giant gas cloud that sparked a new wave of star formation and gave rise to a second, younger, generation of stars — explaining why it seems surprisingly youthful.

Well I thought I would try something different when it came to photographing the Opera House, First attempt & I think it has turned out rather interesting.... What do you think??

I like the way that these guys are all standing together however when you look at their feet, they are all standing differently.
A different composition from behind our vacation house on Sleepy Hollow Lake in Athens, New York. This time I went down to the waters edge and pointed my camera as close to North as I could to get the view of Polaris.
Again, this is blend just like my previous photo. Foreground shot at a low iso and f/8 at blue hour. Trails are made up of 495 images each shot at f/2.8 iso 800 and 30 seconds. Trails are blended in photoshop and then blended into my blue hour image of the foreground.
I'll be away for the weekend... going to a church Bible camp which will be so much fun and great to get away for a bit. I'm leaving you with another barn photo. This one attracted me because of the different colors on it and it looked so pretty in the afternoon sunlight. Not sure where I found it but someplace in the state of Virginia! :) I don't think this camp has WiFi so will try to catch up with all your beautiful photos when I am home and have a chance to rest up a bit. :) Have a blessed weekend!

A sunny spring afternoon in Holland - but seen in near Infrared...
Leica M7 is ideal for this kind of picture - it's a range finder so one can still frame and focus with the IR filter on. And the light meter gives totally accurate readings too!
Taken with a Leica M7, 50mm Summicron, IR filter, Ilford SFX200, self developed in Tetenal Ultrafin liquid. Printed with a Durst M670 on Ilford MG IV warmtone, developed with Ilford warmtone developer. Selenium toned (a bit)
I love this Megan Mckenna dress from Miss Pap, a different angle here, with no glimpse of the seams of the gorgeous Oroblu seamed pantyhose but i love this angle in terms of how striking this pose is in very high heels...kind of why heels are so wonderful pushing all areas of the body into the right place.. love your comments as always, just a couple of seconds to comment really does make it all worthwhile. So thanks to those who always make such a wonderful effort and if you haven't before i'd love to hear from you now..Enjoy xx
