my 2nd attempt at this.... first one turned out a disaster!!!!!
I used the distress ink to sponge around the edge of the nestie to create a frame.

This was the first time to use the bird collage stamp. Painted with Pearlescent paints.
Pocket letter made for a swap using inking, diecuts, sparkle Mod Podge, bling, ribbons & sequins. Snow globe made using fuse tool.
Using Joy's negative/positive ~ wasn't going to post this as I didn't get the Merry straight, but finished it off any way. You can hardly see but the top of the card is white embossed with an old Hero Arts background stamp (raindrops) And just because it looked too plain, added a Spellbinders Poinsettia with some twine and branches. The positive of the die is inside the card.

This is actually a metal bench, with flower shapes made from cutout pieces. I shot it in Portrait mode using Stage Light Mono on my iPhone, then added some creative edits.
Just got back from an amazing trip to The Big Easy—New Orleans, LA. I love finding new ways to be creative!

This 2 1/2 inch die cut chromolithograph card of a camera and head of a young woman advertises cigarettes. The back reads "Kinney Bros. Novelties 75 styles one in each package of cigarettes"
This is an attempt at a simple card. i tried very hard to keep everything at a minimum. The pearls around the edge of the heart are sewn down (between each pearl on the string). Sorry about the blurry scan, I hope to take a better photo tomorrow in the sunshine. TFL

This has been such a FUN Week.....
First time using the Silhouette sketch pens. I filled them in with watercolor pencils. The turkeys are 'print and cut".
For a baby shower I'm going to tomorrow!
QK Revolution dies used: scalloped border, nesting labels (for green border and tag), and three little birds. Big bird is from the HA blog template.
Masked the sentiment from "sweet as pie" from CL346 the cooking owl. Love the font!
Gems and white flower are Hero Arts. Heart cut from a Prima flower.
PP is Bo Bunny, Cosmo Cricket, and Fancy Pants.
Ink is Ranger and Colorbox.
This was my best find from the Ottawa dealer I acquired part of a Halloween collection from -- thanks to Matthew for suggesting I track him down and buy this, which I did not do on the spot when I saw it. This heavily embossed German Devil Bat Die-Cut is exceedingly rare and in very good condition. It has a spider web pattern in its wings, cloven feet and an intact pitchfork. My friend Mark Ledenbach gave me specific backbround on this rarity: it was made only for Canada in 1935 in 2 sizes, of which this is the larger, it measures 20 1/2" across and about 16" from tip to cloven hoof. Still has quite the gloss and colour. I find it weird that this creepy big guy has a cat-like tail.
Using the diecuts from my HA prize, plus some HA silhouette diecuts (isn't that globe wonderful? - perfect placement for my little island in the Indian Ocean - used Enamel Accents for 3D effect) I followed the first sketch from this month's challenge. Used the Friends Definition stamp on the "land" and the envelope pattern with my new absolutely fabulous Midtone Stonewash ink for the background.
Getting inspired by Franziska's lovely cards - keep them coming Franziska, I love looking at all your creations and getting ideas. Sometimes that is all we need, just a little push! I decorated the edge of the diecut with the Hydrangea and stamped the Simple Frame on music paper from Melissa Frances that the lovely Suzz sent me.

I found this new corner die in a Charity shop and couldn't wait to use it. I have teamed it with the Simon Says Arched Leaf and Flower blooms and added a hot foil sentiment. Blogged here
