Another card for WCMD - plus entering into A Blog Named Hero challenge ~ White out, All the card used was white. Embossed with a Sizzix die. The sentiment is a Hero Arts one, and the flower is die cut from Spellbinders Poinsettia die. The leaves were one of the white flowers sponged with Cut Grass distress ink. Off to make a half a dozen of these as they are so quick and easy to do. Will mix up the sentiments a bit though..
The twinchie on this one covered in backing paper. Stamped the stags head onto craft card then die cut. Stamped sentiment.

Now submitting for this weeks diecut challenge. How lucky is that!!!!
For my MIL whose birthday is next week. I used my label 1 nesties (largest) to make the card. I also used my spellbinders butterfly die to cut the butterfly in dark card which I then stamped with versamark and added pearlex powder in gold together with some Ranger liquid pearls. The flourish from Inkadinkadoo and the Happy Birthday from HA CL 272. I stamped in on the dark card and embossed in white.

I made this card for 3 three challenges - HeroArts, KWerner color inspiration #54, and Lisa's Scribble this #2. I have never done a card with multi challenges before. Takes a lot longer than I usually do. I didn't use any extra light while taking this photo.

Thanks for looking!:)
I used a Sizzix star die along with a QK nesting label die for this card. I stamped the large star with a Hero Arts woodgrain stamp and also used HA's "Raindrop" background stamp for the white dots. "Celebrate" is also a HA stamp, from the "All Occasion" clear set. Oh - those rounded crystals - HA, too! Thanks for stopping by - I hope you're having a creative week!
Shared for Sliders Sunday!
This is actually a metal bench, with flower shapes made from cutout pieces. I shot it in Portrait mode using Stage Light Mono on my iPhone, then added some creative edits.
Just got back from an amazing trip to The Big Easy—New Orleans, LA. I love finding new ways to be creative!
I clear embossed the love birds then rub soft apricot shadow ink on them, I tried to make the ink a little uneven just to give them a little more character... TFL. =)

I recently picked up some Rangers Crackle paints and wanted to play with them. I painted a piece of cs with the paint and set it aside to dry. What fun! What a fabulous result. After it was dry I stamped the Heartwinged Butterfly on it and cut it out. Could not be happier! ENJOY! Linda aka Oz

This sweet little birthday card stands on its own, with the cutaway part from around the clouds and balloon as the stand. Marked Davis.
The God of our Fathers.
Oh! still may He be.
The strength of the Union,
The Hope of the Free.
To Henry Holmes. By E. Bartlett, teacher.
A Civil War-era reward of merit. The poem on the card also appears as part of the lyrics for "The Union! The Hope of the Three," a song by Sidney Herbert from his compilation titled McClellan Campaign Melodist: A Collection of Patriotic Campaign Songs in Favor of the Constitution of the Union, the Election of General McClellan, the Restoration of the Federal Authority, and the Speedy Extermination of Treason (New York, 1864).
Here's the stanza that includes the lines of the poem:
The Union! The Union! In God we repose!
We confide in the power that vanquished out foes
The God of our fathers--Oh, still may He be
The strength of the Union, the hope of free.
This client 's year-end offering will raise money to make improvements to the Children's area and a portion will go to a mission in Haiti. The cubes will be distributed completely flat. People will have opportunity to read the "inside" of the cube before they assemble it (which requires only one piece of tape). People will insert their money or check in a slot in the top (not shown here). They will then return their cube 5 weeks later and bring them to the stage (should make for a good visual in a church of 8,000).
The heavy use of black and rounded corners is in keeping with the church's new brand. I tried to keep the inside as light as possible for a nice contrast. I also wanted to preserve the subtle cross shape through my use of color.
The red dieline is just to illustrate how the cube functions; it will not print.
I feel like I've wasted my opportunity for comments since this is being ftp'd to the printer tonight or tomorrow morning. There's always the option of changes at time of proof, but I hate doing that to a printer.
I first cut the denim using my Sizzix Big Shot and then machined the shapes together.
They are now ready to be washed in a bag in the washing machine to distress them further.
There was sufficient spare fabric to make two bags as well

My favorite Quickutzs die is the Scallops. It is also the only one I currently own...sigh. I used 3 die cut scallops to form the border strip. I also recently picked up some Rangers Crackle paints and wanted to play with them. I painted a piece of cs with the paint and set it aside to dry. What fun! What a fabulous result. After it was dry I stamped the Heartwinged Butterfly on it and cut it out. The background pp is stamped with HA Artistic windows text. Everything is distressed with my fav chalk ink. I really could not be happier with the results! ENJOY! Linda aka Oz

"Jackson-Jefferson Day Dinner honoring U.S. Senator Estes Kefauver, Abraham Lincoln Hotel, Reading, Pa., March 1, 1952."
According to Wikipedia, "Jefferson-Jackson Day is the most common name given to the annual fundraising celebration (dinner) held by Democratic Party organizations in the United States. It is named for Presidents Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson. During presidential election campaigns, certain dinners are considered important venues for candidates to attend."
Estes Kefauver was a U.S. Senator from Tennessee who was seeking the Democratic nomination for president when this dinner was held in March 1952. He had adopted the coonskin cap as a campaign symbol after political opponents claimed that he was a "raccoon-like Communist puppet." The unique headgear became popular in the 1950s and 1960s as the result of television programs that featured Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone wearing coonskin caps.
As Wikipedia explains, "In the 1952 presidential election, Kefauver decided to offer himself as a candidate for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. Campaigning in his coonskin cap, often by dogsled, Kefauver won in an electrifying victory in the New Hampshire primary, defeating President Harry S. Truman, the sitting President of the United States, prompting Truman to cease campaigning for renomination." Despite Kefauver's early success, the Democratic presidential nominee that year was Illinois governor Adlai Stevenson.

I used a pre-printed patterened card, added a green strip and a die-cut "celebrate" shape that was attached with foam dots to add dimension. The "celebrate" shape was purchased through the Silhouette online store. Then I used the foam dots to add sequins on the flower centers. A quick and simple project!
