Dawlish Journeys, part of Arts Wave Devon. funded a dance and exercise event at Dawlish Library memory café.
Dawlish Dancers gave a lovely display after attendee's had taken part in some dancing while sat down.

We held a Pirates Meet Aliens Picnic on 4 August. It was as crazy as it sounds but great fun. The children came dressed up. They made the aliens from the Space Hop activity and created space treasure maps. We also had face painting and, of course, a picnic. A lovely person in the town made cakes full of treasure (ok, sweets) for the children - thank you Mrs Duncan. While the children ate their picnic, we read them space and pirate stories.

Tesco Community Champion Andrew Drayton and author Tracey Norman judged the Fancy Dress Competition and choose Dobby the winner and Sirius Black as the runner up. The prizes were kindly donated by Crediton Tesco.

Alicia, aged 8, was the lucky winner of the Hunt the Easter Chick competetion held at Dawlish Library during the Easter Holidays. There were 89 entries, only 11 of which were correct. Alicia's name was pulled out of the hat. She is holding her favourite book as well as her prize of an egg.

National Poetry Day in Colyton Library. We were joined by poet Greta Stoddart and other local poets who read their work. Students from the local grammar school also read their poems on the theme of home.
Congratulations to Beatrix for her lovely picture which she entered in to our Winter Drawing competition. She won a book as joint 2nd prize runner up in our 7 - 13 year old category.
Children listened to Peppa's Magical Unicorn story and then made magic unicorn horns. Crafty Tales is on alternate Mondays at 11am during term time at Crediton Library. Bounce and Rhyme is on at 11am on the opposite Mondays.
