We made our own Where's Wally? scenes at Colyton Library. We stuck a picture of Wally on a piece of paper and then cut out pictures from old magazines to put around Wally to hide him. Great fun - and free!
A A Abbott was part of a Crime and Thriller Panel with Jo Ullah and Debbie Young comparing rural and city crime stories for the Crediton Literary Festival. The city stories are fast paced and dynamic with characters from diverse backgrounds and anonymity for the protagonist. In small villages everyone knows each other and new people and unusual events cause more of a stir. In both they write so that the people shine and the place becomes another character.
