On the left hand side, at the top of the device, is a secondary camera (VGA) for use in video telephony.
An agent could copy a pilfered key by adjusting the device's feelers until they matched the pattern of the key's teeth. The pattern could then be copied onto a new key.
I would have never dared get my old camera this close to the water. It did get wet and it's all good. Go E-3!

Description of work: The cluster of domed forms on four lions at the center of the basin of this raised fountain derive from the family symbol of the Montalto family. Cardinal Montalto had purchased the villa in 1598, and had Carlo Maderno build the Casino Montalto and make modifications to the garden. The Lante family for which the villa is currently named, acquired the villa in 1656.

12B30 Advanced Leadership Course Soldiers ‘stack’ behind a protective Kevlar blanket as an explosive device is detonated on a target door Oct. 19 at the Camp Grafton South breach range near Devils Lake, N.D. The student soldiers at the course are trained to calculate proper quantities of C4 explosives to use for various types of target options, as well as the safe distance they can be from the explosions, which might be used in combat situations. The realistic training uses demolition charges placed on target doors to simulate an assault through various types of locked doors. The charges are detonated to allow access into buildings containing simulated combatants as the Soldiers are stacked behind a protective breacher's blanket, which contain layers of Kevlar. The blanket allows the Soldiers to stand near the blast while protecting them from blast pressure and fragmentation, so they can quickly pass through the door after detonation. Brig. Gen. The board on the left is an 8 bit LED output port state indicator and also 8 switches to an 8 bit input port. On the right is a 2 line by 20 character LCD display. These can be connected to the Z80 computer to expand its capabilities.
A few weeks ago there was a post on the Adafruit blog about such a puke light. Today I happened to see this on TV.
The Tandy/Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 100, circa 1983, was one of the precursors to the modern laptop. The functions were fairly limited but the size and battery power were well received. This computer was actually made by Kyocera, now a brand name recognized worldwide as a manufacturer of popular cell phone and PDA hybrids. This particular model was used by Smithsonian curator Paul Ceruzzi to construct elaborate spreadsheets for this compact computer to track home finances and mortgage payments.
The National Semiconductor 103A electronic calculator, circa 1978-1981, called the "checkbook balancer," comes in a checkbook and is designed to assist in balancing checking accounts.
The National Museum of American History (NMAH), administered by the Smithsonian Institute, collects, preserves and displays American heritage in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific and military history. The museum, which first opened in 1964 as the Museum of History and Technology, is located on the National Mall in one of the last structures designed by McKim, Mead & White. It was renamed in 1980, and closed for a 2-year, $85 million renovation by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP from 2006 to 2008.
The Smithsonian Institution, an educational and research institute and associated museum complex, administered and funded by the government of the United States and by funds from its endowment, contributions, and profits from its shops and its magazines, was established in 1846. Although concentrated in Washington DC, its collection of over 136 million items is spread through 19 museums, a zoo, and nine research centers from New York to Panama.

A device I created to save the US economy
"Los Angeles, CA - Artist Marc Horowitz plans to save the nation's banks... with his body. Marc will use his body to create abstract works in the same vein as Jackson Pollock and Picasso.
Marc Horowitz has constructed The Recessionator, a machine designed to make quick corporate art. The Recessionator sprays drab and muted multicolored paint into the air as Marc, in goggles and an all-white jumpsuit, leaps from a trampoline, flies through the paint, and lands on a big canvas, thereby creating a painting.
Marc took one of his Recessionator paintings to a Washington Mutual bank and GAVE it to them as a fail-proof investment. In a matter of months, WAMU will be able to sell the painting in order to stay solvent through these economic down times.
Marc explains that hundreds of these paintings can be made in a day and sent to banks everywhere creating hope in these dark times.

Who needs a $700 Billion bailout, when artists can pull the US out of this slump.”
This planetary model was made by the London instrument maker, John Rowley. Called an orrery, or more correctly a tellurium, it is a demonstration device to show the motions of the Earth and Moon around the Sun. Such devices became popular during the 17th century, especially after Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) published his universal theory of gravity in 1687. This particular example was made for Charles Boyle, the fourth Earl of Orrery in Ireland. Rowley copied it from an earlier example made by the famous London clockmaker George Graham (1673-1713) for Prince Eugene of Savoy. Much admired in its day, it was given the title, 'orrery' after its owner, a name that was subsequently applied to later planetary models or machines.
Here is a device that I got 12 months ago while touring the UK.
I met up with Tootdood and The Neepster there, who showed me the city, and Mike (Toot) had a wrist strap that impressed me.
Mike lies to take street shots from the hip, and has got very good at it. I decided to buy a strap at the camera store there, as I had never seen them before.

When I got back to Oz, I removed the Canon neck strap and installed the new Jacobs wrist strap, and it has never been off since.
I love it. It clicks in place and there is no risk of dropping the camera as you can see from the shots below.
