Our first morning by Kapoho Marine Preserve, an excellent sunrise... The ponds in front are part of a state preserve, and are excellent for snorkeling. The tides are quite visible here, rising and lowering several feet during the day. The water in the ponds is a mix of fresh and salt water.

Some odd scans from some colour 35mm films developed in b/w chems. Its from a mix of cheap kodak and fuji film. I need to keep the developer warmer but I still like the results.

On the way down, the marine layer began to roll in from the Pacific, creating a hazy view along the trail.

On 29-30 May, the International Workshop “Developing a Skilled Workforce for Economic Diversification”is organized jointly by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Swiss Cooperation Office. The aim of the event was to discuss the main political suggestions in strengthening qualification and vacational training systems for economic diversification as well as to identify common research issues, future exchange opportunities and cooperation jointly with the representatives of international research centers.

Fuji Neopan 100 Acros I developed in my apartment. I wrecked about a third of the roll by not putting enough developer. Oh well.

Researchers developed the first detailed numerical model for predicting the conditions under which marine oil snow aggregates form and the amount of oil they transport to the ocean floor. The team validated the model using observational data collected during the Deepwater Horizon incident and found that it reproduced the aggregate size spectra reasonably well. They identified several factors that affected model accuracy, in particular its sensitivity to calculations for particle fractal dimensions, stickiness, and disaggregation. The model can help inform response and planning activities associated

with oil spills in marine environments. The researchers published their findings in Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans: Numerical modeling of the interactions of oil, marine snow, and riverine sediments in the ocean.

These include interactions between oil and microbial mucus (“biofilm" model), interactions between oil and marine snow particles, and interactions between oil and mineral particles in turbidity maximum layers.

Three day course on developing new products and supplements

A USAID-funded three day course where Al Ahram journalists learn and practice the methods to develop new products and supplements. Robb Montgomery produced the course to teach market-focused techniques and a systematic, segmented approach to developing market-driven ideas and prototypes to reach new or existing audiences.

The event was organized the Egypt Media Development Program

IREX and MSI, Inc operate the Egypt Media Development Program, a USAID-funded training effort to help raise the journalism quality and independent skills for media houses and the journalists who work in them. Robb Montgomery has worked with the Egypt Media Development Program as a consultant since 2007 and has documented training efforts and impact in Alexandria and Cairo.

Tarragarra is home to the Riding Develops Abilities (RDA) Peninsula Centre, one of 38 such centres across Victoria working with people with disabilities – primarily children – where horse-riding and other horse-related activities are used as an effective and enjoyable way to develop skills and confidence.

developed them myself for first time. film was quite expired so all the photos were pretty foggy. or i just did it wrong.

Not strictly my first home-developed film (have already done a dry run with a test roll), but the first with shots that I took some care about.
