Some of you already know that for some years now I have had a personal website:

www.streetphotography.co.uk

But for over 7 years, I have been trying to aquire the .com domain. I'm delighted to say that a few weeks ago, with some enjoyable palpitation, at around 2.30am, I participated in an international online auction and managed to buy The .COM (at a great expense and please don't ask)!

So I'm working on launching the site in 2016 and am excited to be looking for "Passionate and the Best contributors in all areas from technical to, writers, reviewers, editors, curators, publishers, Think Tankers, lecturers and most of all true "Street Photographers" and any other creators to create the best Source and platform for this genre to "Present & Educate" . I am still very much at the Strategy Developement stage but lets see where we go & will update in the new year... this will be the site: (& yes it's a real candid image and not staged! Long story, shot in NYC)...

Volvo F10, F12, and F16 are a series of trucks manufactured by Volvo Trucks between 1977 and 1993. The F10 and F12 were launched in 1977, with many innovative features for its time, most noteably its safety cab, the F10 and F12 were joined by the more powerful F16 at the time of the models second facelift in 1987. The basic chassis components and also the driveline components of the trucks, when launched in 1977, were to a large extent based on the ones introduced in 1973 for the Volvo N-series trucks. The numbering on these models tells the engine displacement in litres. The series got two major upgrades during its production. The first one arrived in 1983: it included major changes to the cabin including a larger windscreen and taller roof, and a new chassis The second upgrade came in 1987, with the arrival of the powerful F16 and some cosmetic changes and improved aerodynamics.

The F-series was replaced by the Volvo FH-series in 1993.

I believe the big box retailers were overly ambitious when they built up at the intesection of U.S. 23 and Highland Road. Due to the recession, a lot of developement due to happen around this intesection never happened. Target doesn't seem to be doing that well either here. Meijer is the only store that looked like it was doing well in the area. Then again, the Meijer locations around here seem distributed weirdly. There are three Meijer stores on Highland Road within 20 miles of each other yet Fenton (a decent sized city to the north) does not have a Meijer. Both Walmart and Target have stores in Fenton though, so I wonder how many people come from Fenton to go to the Hartland Meijer. I also imagine the grocery section at this Walmart contributed to its closure. When I was at this store, I noticed a bunch of grocery items, on the shelves, that were months expired. I doubt Meijer lets that happen as much. Since Meijer is a Michigan based company, they probably have a more loyal following in the area to begin with.

Haldane 3000HD (1988-94) Engine 1993cc S4 OHC Ford Pinto

Registration Number Q 25 TDS (Undefined age registration, issued from Glasgow)

HALDANE ALBUM

www.flickr.com/photos/organize

John Haldane launched Haldane Developements Ltd. in Glasgow in 1988 to produce automobiles and kits. In 1993 Brian Harrison and Alisdair Scott took over production until 1994. From 1994 Pilgrim cars took over production, retaining the Haldane name but moved the facilities from Glasgow to Henfield in West Sussex. Production finally ended in 2008 after around 136 vehicles had been produced.

The first model was the HD100 a model based on the Austin Healey 100, with a fibreglass body mounted on a chassis developed in house. The four cylinder engine came from the Vauxhall Chevette. From 1993 a revised chassis was released to accommodate Ford engines. Around 100 examples were built between 1988-1994.

In 1991 a second model, the HD3000 complemented the range, modeled on the Austin Healey 3000 it otherwise corresponded with the HD100 around 36 were built by 2008

This Austin Healey replica was built by Haldane before the Scottish company ceased trading. The rights are now with Pilgrim who are planning to return the car to production.

Styled on similar lines as the classic Austin Healey the car has a composite (GRP) monocoque bodyshell, powered by a modern engine with Ford Sierra suspension and a robust backbone chassis and Geoscan designed suspension. It will be supplied either as a kit priced between £13,900 to £16,900 dependant upon specification or factory built for £18,000 for one with used components to £ 27,000 for a top specification factory built car with new components.

Jaguar XJ6 (XJ40) (1986-94) Engine 3980cc S6

Badged as XJ6 or Sovereign the term Project XJ40 was used by Jaguar, during the 1970's developement stages. There were also Daimler, Sport, Majestic, Gold and a TWR tuned XJR variants available during the models lifetime as well as a the rare twin turbocharged Chasseur. All vehicles were fitted with variants of the new Jaguar AJ6 straight six engine initially as a 2.9 ltr. SOHC or a 3.6 ltr S6 DOHC.

Amongst changes for the 1989-90 model year these engine sizes were increased the 2.9 becoming 3.2 and the 3.6 becoming 4.0 ltr. Together with the replacement of the electronic dashboard instrumentation, replaced by an analogue system. Further revisions were made for the 1992-93 season including a passenger air bag unfortunately located in the position of the passenger glove box, meaning late models had to do without the glove box

Transmission was supplied by a four speed ZF Automatic manually governed in the 2.9, 3.2 and 3.6 but governed by the ECU in the 4.0 ltr. A five speed Gertag manual box was also available.

For the 1993 season Jaguar produced a 6.0ltr V12 XJ40 which replaced the series 3 XJ12 which was essentially a bored out 5.3ltr. The XJ40 continued production until 1994 when it was replaced by the X300 series

This car was registered in October 1993 to Staffordshire Police Force and was originally designated as the Chief Constables Staff Car for its first 18 monfhs before becoming a Motorway patrol vehicle patrolling the M6 and other major roads within the Staffordshire Police Force area. It was decommissioned and disposeed of via auction sale during 1996-97 with a recorded mileage of 120,000 miles (192,000 km) and had two further civilian owners before being rescued from a London breakers yard by its third civvy owner who began its restoration back to its oribinal Police specification, it changed hands again in 2004 when the restoration was finally completed. It is now owned by a member of The Blue Light Preservation Group

Designed by Roy Haynes under the code name ADO28 undeer British Leyland ownership, in an urgent need for a new model. The Austin Maxi was in its final developement but there were no new model schedualed thereafter, and the then current range consisted of the ageing Morris Minor and the Farina range of models.

Introduced as either a 2 door Coupe or 4 door Saloon and Estate in both 1.3 (1275cc) and 1.8 (1798cc). Aimed squarely at the Ford Cortina with a separate 1.8TC/GT/HL/Special model as the range topper. Re-engineered for the final two years (1978-80) before being replaced by the restyled Morris Ital

Despite it becoming fashionable in the 1970's and 1980's to bash the Marina it provided undemanding moting and sold almost 1000000 cars. What is often forgotten is that the Marina was also an accomplished rally car. In 1970 BMC chairman Donald Stokes had ordered the closure of the BMC Competitions Department, by the time the Marina came on stream stage rallying was gaining in popularity and in early 1971 it was decided to use the new model in the 1971 RAC rally, the following November. Luckily for BL, Special Tuning had a rally driver on its books by the name of Brian Culcheth and so with no team, no mechanics, no funding and initially no sponsorship a team of talented engineers developed a 1.3 Coupe into a rally car, funded purely by sales of performance parts from Special Tuning. The 1.3 engine was chosen against the more powerful 1.8 on the basis of its weight affecting the handling of the 1.8 engined cars. With the 1.3 and using Mini components decent horepower figures were achieved and in the 1971 RAC Rally the team claimed 1st in class. Subsequently, the car was entered in seventeen more national and international rallies until 1975, either being placed or winning class honours in twelve of them, the others being crashes/failures.

For 1976, BL management decided to move to the Triumph Dolomite Sprint for its main rallying weapon.

This is a modified 1980 1.3 HL running a 1798cc S4 Twin Cam engine which was the high performance rngine available 1971-78. For extra performance, TC versions were equipped with a twin carburettor engine similar to that in the MG MGB for extra performance. These could be fitted with a body kit from BL Special Tuning that added front and rear spoilers, alloy wheels, extra lighting and other details

The Mk.VIII was a developement of the Mk.VIIM, sharing the same 10 foot wheelbase and very simular looks However, the interior fittings were more luxurious than those of the Mark VII. Distinguishing visually between the models is facilitated by changes to the front grille, the driving or fog lamps being moved from the front panel to the horizontal panel between bumper & front panel, larger rear lamps and most obviously a curved chrome trim strip below the waistline which allowed the factory to offer a variety of two-tone paint schemes. In addition the new car had rear spats that were cut back to display more of the rear wheels and featured a one-piece slightly curved windscreen, where the Mark VII had incorporated a two-piece front screen of flat glass.

Mechanically the Mark VIII inherited from its predecessor the 3442 cc straight-six engine which it shared with the Jaguar XK140 with a modified cylinder head. This B type head used larger valves giving an extra 30bhp. with the original intake port diameters allowed faster gas flow at low and medium speeds to promote better low and medium range torque. with a claimed top speed of 106mph. . Transmission options included overdrive or a Borg Warner three-speed automatic box.

The Citroën 2CV designed by André Lefèbvre and Flaminio Bertoni was introduced in 1948, running through to 1990, as an inexpensive two cylinder runabout, with production in France, Belgium, United Kingdom (Slough), Argentina, Uraguay, Chile, Portugal, Spain and the former Yugoslavia, with a production of 9,238,810 vehicles of all types

The Fourgonette is a 2CV-based delivery vans introduced in the spring of 1951. It differed from the sedan from the B-pillar onwards by having a box-like, spacious cargo area that could be loaded through two gullwing doors at the rear. In France and Switzerland many were used as Post Office delivery vans. Developement followed along the same lines as the 2CV, The 602 cc engine evolved to the M28 33 bhp, to be replaced by a more modern unit in 1979 (after the Fourgonnette had ceased production), in 1975 the traditional round headlamps were replaced by

This store is one of the few supercenter stores closed in the January 2016 Walmart store closing wave. There were 269 stores closed (154 in the U.S.). Of those closings only 12 were Supercenter stores. The closing wave included mostly smaller stores like Neighborhood market and Walmart Express.

This is an approximately 192,000 square foot Walmart store that opened on August 26, 2009. This is the Hartland, Michigan location I'll post the pictures of the closed Bedford, Ohio Supercenter as well within a couple weeks after finishing the Hartland pictures. These and many of my Bedford pictures are currently floating around elsewhere online.
