Einstein, disguised as Robin Hood
With his memories in a trunk
Passed this way an hour ago
With his friend, a jealous monk
He looked so immaculately frightful
As he bummed a cigarette
Then he went off sniffing drainpipes
And reciting the alphabet
Now you would not think to look at him
But he was famous long ago
For playing the electric violin

While exploring the Cape Hatteras lighthouse on Hatteras Island, I was lucky enough to capture a very vibrant sunrise at about 5AM. There was something about the landscape on Hatteras Island which made you feel like you were on a deserted island.

Made in, I believe, Downers Grove Illinois.
I pulled into this parking lot to make a photo of something else and was immediately drawn to that fabulous white wall and the blue sky.
Not very interesting I guess, but I like the transition from the ridiculously green floor to the decaying wall.
I love this stretch of road on US 287 between Laramie and Casper, WY. Wide open spaces, blue skies, and strong winds today (around 60 mph).
Some resolution loss/distortion as this was taken through the windshield.

Taken yesterday at the very bottom of the North Island, on the road between Lake Ferry and a small fishing village called Ngawi (say: "nah-why"). Its so desolate along this part of the coast it really is easy to believe you are at the end of the earth.

“Once in awhile, I find myself in complete desolation -- a state of absolute emptiness. But, just when I feel this void strangling my thoughts, there is a spark of hope that ignites my mind. There is a subtle hint that in the end, everything will be okay.”
