My final project for my Large Format class. All photographs shot on 4x5 film.

"The opposite of war isn't peace, it's creation." - Rent.

The idea originally was to create a peaceful looking landscape using smoke which has graceful movements when looked at closely and without fire. What I ended up happening when I developed the film was the look of an after war scene, the remains of a location that at one time was peaceful, happy and full of life. I wanted to create peace, but I create war instead.
