The Design Portfolio Review is focused on individualized 15 minute student portfolio reviews with juniors, seniors and graduate students. The emphasis is on providing feedback on students’ work and presentation skills while also providing insights for reviewers on RISD talent that may be suited to their current or future hiring needs.
Portugal Special Edition / Bag + Photo Essay + Tiny Posters + Pencils
On occasion of the release of Slanted Magazine #27 – Portugal, a limited Special Edition has been published. The edition contains a screen printed tote bag, a photo essay by photographer Daniel Sommer, a set of tiny posters related to Portuguese music (University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe), and custom made pencils by Viarco, the oldest pencil factory of Portugal.

Purpose: Sign for personal parties. Measures 22 inches wide x 66 inches tall, printing on foam core and attached to an easel.
This design is based on the customer's original request. I created a snowflake for his purposes and used "tiffany blue and christmas red."
Result: The customer liked both designs, but chose the alternate design I created.

A buddy of mine came up with this concept for a summer job to do with some friends, so they asked me to come up with a flyer design, and this is what I ended up with.
Organic imagery handpainted on walnut panels. Coated with a UV gloss finish to protect and deepen both the color and wood grain. Each panel, due to an internal frame, floats off the wall an extra .75”. Painted image extends over the sides and exposed wood banding on the edges adds a third design element.
