This was brought to the world's attention via the blog Hella Whimsical. Note the use of Comic Sans (I know, it's really a WTF moment). It's as if the office admin was asked to make a logo for a new retail store so he pulled up Word and centered a 24 point masterpiece in one big cliche and sent it to the sign shop. This is like having someone who only plays rock band write a song about the essence of music.
The panel examines the way design can be used to spur development around the world. Particularly, the panel will feature individuals who work on developing areas different from their own homes. Panelists will specifically discuss the challenges involved in designing for these populations.

I really enjoy the challenge of making things as fast and efficiently as I can on quick projects such as this. I've learned I do better under pressure. Our new letterpress shop needed all of the stools in the shop labeled, as people kept using the stools near the press and apparently that's extremely dangerous.
Yeah, it's not that cool, and yeah it could've benefited from more time, but I bet you one hundred bucks that with 30 minutes 99 out of 100 people would make something a lot more boring than this.
I'm really just trying to justify a shitty design. But the copywriting, I mean, cmon…

Here are some website elements for a project that has not seen the light of day yet. You'll also notice some additional notes on the interactivity around the elements.

This is an album cover created for a fictional band, 'Eugenia Pendens', for a meme that has been doing the 'rounds. The meme is, basically:
1. The title of whatever page you get when you click on 'Random Page' on Wikipedia is your band's name.
2. The last four or five words from a list of random quotes (sorry, can't remember the website) is your album's title.
3. The third image on a random selection of the week's uploads to Flickr is your album image.
I took this meme and played with it because I love to design. Instead of simply typing the name and title onto the image, as I believe the meme is suggesting you do, I tried to combine the three pieces (image, name and title) into what I thought looked like a passable album cover. I hope you like the result.
