Assignment: Design a series of 12 9" square panels using mixed media. Create a sense of transformation from one panel to the next.
Media: Illustration board, acrylic paint, linoleum stamp.

Governor Markell spoke to the students enrolled in the Delaware College Scholars Program, as well as received a tour of the program and met with the faculty. The Delaware College Scholars Program is a partnership between St. Andrew’s School and the Delaware Department of Education’s Higher Education office that recruits, assists, and enriches over 40 high-performing lower income high school students beginning in the summer before their junior year. The initiative is designed to support them academically and socially, encouraging them to apply to competitive colleges and universities, as well as providing preparation towards their eventual transition into higher education upon their high school graduation.

I am wearing my own 1930's evening gown I designed for my costume design class. It is a bias cut cut, hunter green, poly satin dress with a gold buckle and gold beading on the straps. I also designed a small gold pouch with green beads and a drawstring strap with gold tassels.

I hated the sink that was there and needed storage so I created this from a sink from The Re-use People and some steel that I had around which I cut myself. The sparks were beautiful! Most everything else was stuff I had lying around.

This is my new design. This baby is going to dominate.
The new frame is made from 9-ply finished plywood scraps in a "tub" design. It also uses inline skate wheels (from a really nice set of Bauer hockey skates from the thrift store).
The wheels are mounted on threaded rod that goes all the way through both sides mounted with locknuts. Due to the pains we took to make the axles straight and square, this baby runs extremely true.
It's also by far the strongest design, I can easily stand on it and roll across the floor.
This is definitely going to be the model design for any future vehicles we make. The competition doesn't stand a chance ;)
