I have been so bored without the internet. Its pathetic.
1. I deleted over 1000 songs on my itunes.
2. I wrote seven letters I have been meaning to for months and sent them out today
3. I got my first roll of film developed.
4. I rode a bike for the first time in years.
5. I finally figured out the perfect combination for my starbucks coffee
6. I ate over 21 rolls of Mentos in two days. Im not kidding. Im about to run out and get more.
7. I rediscovered my love for Harris Teeter.
They got rid of all of them in GA and here in NC they are all over the place.
8. I read two very long magazines devoted to Michael Jackson's life. My mother is in love with him and I had nothing else to do. Members of my family will appreciate that. Just take my word for it, that meant I was literally dying of nothing to do.
9. I got to know the cashier at ACE hardware while going there to purchase a dryer aghast pipe.
Apparently her husband lost his son for over 27 years because his first wife ran off with him as a baby. The husband found him though, he was in FL, and they are now reunited and the husband of the cashier was able to attend his long lost sons wedding last month.

oh. my. gosh. the previous picture is the original, and this one is the edited version, which i meant to put up! i spent so long editing this, and i ended up accidentally putting the original up. GAHHHH. and i already shrunk this one to fit facebook, so now its all grainy. i'm so mad! i want to delete the other one, but it already has comments. :(

It is the garden that attracts most of the visitors to the island.
The Italian-style gardens are organized on ten terraces, arranged in way to form a big truncated pyramid.
Or at lest Twitter, and consciously not using facebook apart from the pages that need managing. Recommend Jaron Lanier's book...

The main entrance of the funicular is located in the historic House Louis Jolliet. The house was built in 1683 by the architect Baillif for Louis Jolliet. He lived here until his death in 1700. It was restored in 1978.
Built by William Griffith, the first funicular went into operation on November 17, 1879. The cabins scaled up and down the escarpment by means of a counter weight water process and steam power.
- In 1907, Alexander Cummings converted the funicular to electrical power.
- On July 2, 1945, a massive fire destroyed the structure. Reconstructed in 1946, the new funicular was equipped with metal shelters.
- In 1978, major renovations were undertaken and glass cabins offered a panoramic view.
- In 1998, the funicular was entirely revamped with modern technology.
- In 2004, the funicular celebrated 125 years of services. A book was published and the event was commemorated with a statue.
- This is the only funicular of its kind in America

The tower is 18.6 m (61 ft) tall and was built in 1853. It is on three acres at the north end of a sandy beach which runs along the isthmus.

Nowadays - the process of deleting files consists of a few keystrokes.
Sometimes, I have felt the process is too easy. Has anyone else experienced deletion regret?
I have - especially with photos. Sigh.
That's one reason good old paper copies are treasured.
Problem is that finding and retrieving paper files can be a challenge. Also, the amount of space needed for a big collection can be hard to find - especially space that is climate controlled.
Good news- used file cabinets are dirt cheap!
Well - during this period of Covid-19 virus self-quarantine, I'm clearing out old files. It's more emotionally draining than physically taxing - but nevertheless soul cleansing.

Tourny Fountain was presented to the City of Québec by La Maison Simons as a gift for the city's 400th anniversary. The fountain is across from Québec's Parliament. It has 43 jets and beautiful nighttime lighting and is one of the city's must-see attractions.
