If there were one time of day I could spend on this bridge, it would have to be sunset, but if there were too, foggy mornings would be my immediate second choice. It is amazing how much the fog can change, or rather, bring out the character of this bridge. The gothic architecture combined with the mysteriousness of the fog, really makes it seem like this bridge could lead anywhere the imagination can conjure. The best mornings are those where the fog is so thick you cannot even see the river from the bridge. Where, once you get halfway across, visibility is less than 75 meters and the bridge is the only thing visible, suspended amidst the fog.

I am pretty selective about the photos I post of this bridge, mainly because I shoot so many of them. I am constantly trying to post new perspectives, though when I go out and shoot this bridge, particularly sunsets, I can easily shoot a half or even whole roll of film, many of the shots being composition brackets or duplicates. Not to mention, as much time as I spend around this bridge, I end up shooting from the same locations many times. This does result in a number of my shots being very similar, with only the weather or the time of day being the difference, but then it also helps make it a bit of a challenge to constantly try new ideas in the hopes of getting a decent shot of the bridge from a new angle or perspective, to see the bridge in a way that is new for me too. And I am quite pleased when I am able to, because the possibilities really are quite limitless, it is just up to us to be able to search them out.

Collaboration with Waxhead - Mixed Technique on Plaster - Athens, Koukaki District, 2011

All my photos got deleted. How? I don't know. Why? I don't know. Maybe I did it by accident but anyhow I don't want to go into the trouble of uploading them again. I'm thinking it might be a bug on this account in which case I have changed back to dollfeet. This way I can create a new account: eeniebeany. I don't know. :P

Just in case tomorrow (Dec 21st 2012) is the end of the world as we know it: I love you guys!
