All this time I thought you were a leader;

It turns out you're only a deleter.

On dit qu'le temps guérit toutes les blessures

Et celles que j'ai subies sont dignes d'une brûlure

Au dernier degré

Je sais, je rigole mais j'ai saigné

Des plans comme les tiens, tu sais ce qu'on dit

After a disappointing weekend with no photography, I headed to Boscastle in Cornwall after work last night.

Boscastle is one of my favourites places and having not been there for a while I took decided I was due a revisit.

The village was like a ghost town when I arrived, normally on a summer's evening the place would be packed with tourists and locals sitting outside the local pubs, but due to lockdown the place was like a ghost town. At first, I thought I had the place to myself but as I walked down through the harbour I saw a group of people on the harbour wall. So, I made my way up the cliffs to Penally point and started looking for compositions.

Boscastle is more suited to late Autumn or Winter sunsets if you want the sun in shot but I was happy with the gorgeous side light hitting the Southern cliffs.

As much as I appreciated comments and feedback I would request no Awards or flashy gif comments, please. They will be deleted. Thank you.

Two take-aways from this weeks challenge for me:

1) Creating an interesting image of an eraser is far from easy

2) No matter how much you clean between the keys on your keyboard it still looks like a biohazard.

The time that passes is like a mist

Where my most distant memories

Gradually fade to fill my empty eyes.

Normally when I make a mistake, I delete it. In this case clearly I didn't. I normally really, and I can't emphasize it enough dislike slow pans. Its like the best effort to use a mistake. In this case thats exactly what I've done. Opps I was too slow and got lucky. Period. To clarify there are some who really do these well on purpose...you can tell those from the mistakes and I appreciate those. This is meh.

A bit different from the norm...but then again I am a bit different from the norm right?!? I have no idea what this was or how it happened. I was going to delete some photos off my hard-drive to make room for more and came across this. This was one of those photos that I almost clicked the delete button on but stopped myself.

Have a great weekend everyone!!! I am heading off to my first solo show. I have 8 photos hanging on the wall of the Lava Lounge in Cleveland, Ohio. I am going to meet other friends form the Exposure Cleveland Flickr Group. Wish me luck!

....... Been holding on to this for some time, I've processed it every which way and although each had something interesting none ever coalesced into a great shot...........anyway I just couldn't get myself to delete it so.............here it is :-)))))

*MINOR SPOILER BELOW*

I was surprised how FO Snowspeeder was skipped in the movie. I saw it once for a very short time. Luckily a list of deleted scenes was discovered yesterday which gave me an opportunity to use this…weird vehicle in a scene from TFA.

Hope you like it guys, this isn't really a movie scene, just my own creation ;)

PLEASE, NO invitations, graphics or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.

Sit in a chair and enjoy the fantastic view.

While no doubt the most well known lighthouse in Canada and one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world, the history of the light at Peggy's Cove is little known. Various versions account for the name. Peggy is the nickname for Margaret and the community may have acquired the name from nearby Saint Margaret's Bay, especially as the point marks the eastern entrance to the bay. Other accounts suggest Peggy was an early settler. A popular romantic version says a woman named Peggy was the only survivor of a shipwreck and there are even American families that even claim descent from the shipwrecked Peggy.

In any case, it was decided to erect a light to mark the eastern entrance to St. Margaret's Bay in 1868. While best known as "the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse", it was and remains, officially know as the Peggy's Point Lighthouse as its purpose is to mark the point, not the cove. The cove has its own small light on the government wharf. The first lighthouse was a wooden tower, built atop a keeper's dwelling at the point. It was a red light and used a catoptric reflector (a round silver-plated mirror) to magnify the kerosene oil lamp. The wooden tower, built atop a keeper's dwelling was replaced by the present tower in 1915, a pleasing and stout concrete octagon 50 feet west of the original light. The keeper's dwelling remained for many years nearby as did a tall flagpole displaying coded black cones and balls to warn of bad weather approaching. The new lighthouse showed a white light from a dioptric lens, a series of glass prisms, to magnify the light. Several colour and character changes followed, the most recent being the change from white to green in 1979 and red in 2009. Another very visible change (which helps date earlier colour photos) was in 1969 when the iron lantern on top of the tower was changed from white paint to red paint.

Today, a year ago, we were present at a party, to see the demolition of this building. It was the start for us to our new build appartment Blooming: blooming-oosterhout.nl/

Unfortunately my husband died at the end of last year, but I decided to go forward with this project if possible, because his oldest brother and sister in law also had bougt an appartment there.

Only recently, in May this year, the new build has started! It will take some time until it's ready, planned completion is at the end of 2026. In the mean time I just sold our house and in Octobre I will be moving to a temporarary sort of tiny house at a campsite.

Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are always much appreciated!
