I designed a servo-actuated shutter for my 3D printed terraPin pinhole cameras.

www.thingiverse.com/thing:703565

For these photos, the pinhole camera was mounted in the rear window of my Prius. An arduino-compatible Trinket by Adafruit provides a pseudo-PWM control signal for the servo and the shutter is manually controlled from the front seat by wire. Interfacing a microcontroller to the shutter servo can allow for a number of other applications, including a pre-set countdown timer, timed delay, motion activation, even auto-exposure.

These photos were mostly taken of cars in traffic, stopped behind me at traffic lights. The color photos were made using Fuji Velvia 50 and the black and white using Kodak TMax400. The rear window through which I shot these photos is effectively an ND4 filter and in fading light, the exposures were too long for the duration of a stop light. Several of these were made while moving and they will be obvious when seen.

License plates have been obscured, but otherwise scans are as received from Moon Photo in Seattle.

The issues surrounding the delayed 4M68 necessitating the use of Hams Hall reception lines to run-round to reach Birch Coppice had a 'knock-on' effect and resulted in the inability of the 4M07 Hams Hall - felixstowe modal from exiting the terminal at its booked time.

Recently named GBRf 66785 'John Ellis' (formerly EWS / DB 66132) is seen departing Hams Hall and approaching Whitacre Junction an hour late.

Entrepreneurs across the country have taken notice of New Deal Ink and Toner Company located in Mechanicsburg Pa 17055, “the brain child of its president Gregory Bodenhamer” as reported by Joyce Dorothy Parker Ph.D.

“the main theme of the business is to give some fairness and honest dealings to the printer inkjet and toner customer” “the integrity of the main printer manufacturers is not acceptable” “we have American’s paying almost $40.00 for an inkjet cartridge, that was made outside of the United States, using foreign labor all over the world and no substantial American workers, that most likely cost the manufacturer about fifty cents” “the big printer makers like Hewlett Packard, Seiko Epson, Brother, Samsung, Dell, Lexmark, Canon, Konica, Mita – Kyocera, Minolta, Lanier and on and on are making hundreds of millions of dollars by using; cheap foreign labor, technology and the American consumer”

“it’s really surprising some customers of the major market players like Wal-mart, Target and Best Buy as the New Deal Ink and Toner price is way below the market price” Joyce Dorothy Parker Ph.d. reports in her quarterly printers white paper research.

“what you might pay $30.00 for at Wal-mart you can buy the exact same, brand name, O.E.M. inkjet cartridge for about ten dollars from the New Deal Ink and Toner Company Warehouse” “Greg has allowed entrepreneurs, like the girl next door, to become a limited dealership and sell wholesale cartridges to their friends, family and even their employers” “this has never been done in the market” states Gregory Bodenhamer, Founder and President of New Deal Ink and Toner. “our business is about people first so we think and do a lot of things different”

“our company can save the average home about $200. each year and the average two person business about $500-$700 year after year”

“test everything I say” “go to Wall-mart, Target, Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples etc and write down the price for your inkjet cartridge” “to save some time just go to their web address and check the prices there, don’t forget they charge shipping” “after all that just send me an email newway@live.com and I’ll send you our price for the same manufactured cartridge” “the first think you’re going to feel is anger when you discover how much you pay at the big box stores” “we’ll put the smile back when you realize that you can save a bundle”

Laser Toner, Printer Ink, Fax Rolls, Copier Toner, Inkjet Ink Cartridges and LaserJet Cartridges are all very essential within the workplace and the home.

If you may know 100 people, more than half of them have a home computer and most likely an inkjet cartridge printer. As a small business owner or a young entrepreneur this one simple fact can earn you a great deal of money.

On my visit to Kings Sutton last Saturday, I noticed from Realtime Trains that the Cross-Country service was well and truly up the wall, due to problems in the Didcot area. Services were being caped at Oxford, which meant heavy delays to anything going north.

A Cross Country Voyager set is seen on the down GW Birmingham line, just north of Kings Sutton at Twyford Wharf. No matter to me, sitting quietly escaping the mayhem of immediate post-EU referendum Britain. I doubt the passengers were quite so relaxed.

I must say that I am very pleased with my recently acquired 135mm Seikosha lens, which, as predicted by it's previous owner, a certain Mr. Dowle of 'Fray Bentos' flickr page, is much better for railway photography in the landscape.

The wild processing on this one pleases me somehow

The 12th running of the Fields of Athenry 10km took place on St. Stephen's Day, December 26th 2013 at 11:00 in Athenry, Co. Galway, Ireland. Due to the very icy and frosty conditions for health and safety considerations the race start was delayed by a half an hour and started at the slightly later time of 11:30. The winter sun began to rise high into the sky and the earlier icy roads thawed sufficiently to allow for road racing and avoid a potential abandonment of the event. This worked out perfectly and the conditions were perfect for road racing. This follows on from the near apocalyptic rain conditions for the race last year.

This is one of the leading 10KM road races in Ireland. It is hard to believe that the race is "only" twelve years old. It's superb organisation, atmosphere, and great race history gives it the characteristic of a race that is many years older. The credit for this goes to the wonderful athletics club in Athenry AC and the Race Director for 2013 Frank Burke and his team of volunteers. The attention to every detail in the race which this year attracted over 1,200 participants means that the race has earned it's stripes as one of the leading road races in Ireland. This year the race coupled with Athenry Tidy Towns Committee. A contribution from the proceeds from this year's race will be made to support the work of the Tidy Town Committee.

The race started at the Railway station and then took in a loop of the famous fields of Athenry where it turns left and begins it's return to the town, passing the soccer club, over the railway lines, and finishing under the medival arch in Athenry town for a fittingly atmospheric finish to the race. Race HQ is in the Presentation College in Athenry. Post race showers, prize giving ceremony, and refreshments were provided in the College after the race.

We have a very extensive set of photographs from this year's event. The link to the full set of photographs on this Flickr photostream is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/11553763974/. There are some photographs of the race start and photographs of the race finish from the 1st across the line until the 55 minutes finish time.

Yes - of course you can. Flickr provides several ways to share this and other photographs in this Flickr set. You can share to: email, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, LiveJournal, and Wordpress and Blogger blog sites. Your mobile device will also offer you several different options for sharing this photo page on your social media outlets.

How can I get full resolution copies of these photographs?

All of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution. We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images without the watermark: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.

This also extends the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.

Please email petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com with the links to the photographs you would like to obtain a full resolution copy of. We also ask race organisers, media, etc to ask for permission before use of our images for flyers, posters, etc. We reserve the right to refuse a request.

In summary please remember when requesting photographs from us - all we ask is for you to provide a link back to our Flickr set or Flickr pages. You will find the link above clearly outlined in the description text which accompanies this photograph. Taking these photographs and preparing them for online posting does take a significant effort. We are not posting photographs to Flickr for commercial reasons. If you really like what we do please spread the link around your social media, send us an email, leave a comment beside the photographs, send us a Flickr email, etc.

If you would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

I decided to do a little photo montage of my airport delay in Atlanta

for this weeks 52 weeks photo. I'm in here several times ... this was

an excellent way to pass the time. Thank goodness for the remote

shutter release .. no one had any idea what I was doing.

335 photos at .03 sec per frame

4 hour delay to start off the vacation. Lovely.

Random shot taken with by setting camera on timed delay and raising up through barbed wire fence, took a few of these while experimenting and when I got home this shot stood out as actually working quite well.

One of my own favourites, don't know why but think it'd look good printed out on canvas and hanging on a wall :)
