This woodpigeon has been sitting on my car roof all weekend and i thought this look was good.
The common wood pigeon (Columba palumbus) is a large species in the dove and pigeon family. It belongs to the genus Columba and, like all pigeons and doves, belongs to the family Columbidae. It is locally known in southeast England as the "culver";[2] This name has given rise to several areas known for keeping pigeons to be named after it, such as Culver Down.

Perfectly combining a family holiday with some photography. Some digital exploration convinced me to visit this spot before sunrise. It was cold, windy, but being there on your own and seeing these nice blue colors made it the perfect start of the day. Next time I will go to the lighthouse, which was clearly visible from the beach.
NR40 crests the grade near Deep Lead loop with 7MA8.
The overland was under threat of cessation but the victorian government contributed the subsidy to enable the rail service to continue for another year
Now something completely different. :) Toned B&W. Used 2 exposures for this. Sky and the water.

Deep Rock brand gasoline has been around since 1913. The brand was purchased by Kerr-McGee in 1955. At the time of the merger Deep Rock brand appeared on over 1000 stations in 16 Mid-Continental states.
This former gas station has been used off & on as retail space but is currently abandoned...

How I "developed" this:
1) Shot a leaf with red and green highlights floating on water
2) Use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom software to convert the color spectrum using a "Deep Negative" preset I downloaded from the web
3) Used Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 software to recover some of the details through levels adjustments
The purists probably won't like it, but I thought it blurred the distinction between photography and art.

Cooper deep in thought as I was waiting to photograph one of the neighbourhood pileated woodpeckers.
The scene here is located in Deep Creek Conservation park. It is a fairly easy 2 hour hike to reach the location pictured here.

I kept looking at this guy and for some reason I couldn't get my mind off the new TLC Minifigure Samurai. So here is Deep Eyes as a Samurai, complete with TLC Samurai body as the base and use of TLC Samurai sword.
