Burnout is long gone! Replaced by an abundance of creativity. I worked very hard in the last couple of months and was very productive. Mostly design stuff though - not much photography.
What helped the burnout situation? Taking a trip, spending time away, with people who love me. It helped me clear my head and start afresh. Highly recommended... it's all about balance!

In the mid 2010's Moscow city gov't begun the programm of renovation: the apartment owners could recieve an apartment in the newly built towers in exchange for their apartments in these hrushovka-s. The new towers would be in the same administrative district but not on the same place. Apartment owners of each hrushovka could vote if they agree or not. Most of them agreed, but some denied the propasal in case if the placemet of their hrushovka would be very good and they would not agree change the location. The hrushovka on the photo is still standing. But sooner or later they all will be gone...

The church is dedicated to Summer St. Nicholas. It was built in 1818 as a penance for the murder of Duke Karadorde. The church served as the parish church until 1952 when it became a men's monastery. It was changed to a women's monastery in 1992.
In 1979 the Republic of Serbia declared Pokajnica a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance, and as such it is protected by law.

In all my life I have never seen anyone as devoted as this woman. Visiting the Spassky temple in Irkutsk, I followed her for a while. She cleaned up the altars and places of prayer with a small brush, as she was beautifully humming the most dreamy songs. Impressed by her mindfull dedication I was glad that one can hardly hear the shutter of my camera. She was so in trans that she didn't notice me.

From the earliest times the Romans showed their inclination toward the assimilation of foreign influences in all the aspects of cultural life, and not only, thus accepting the non-Roman clothing elements and their use in Roman adaptation. Some of the first influences were those from their neighbors, like Etruscans and Greek colonists on the south of Apennine Peninsula. As the state expanded due to the military interventions in Europe and wider Mediterranean basin, especially after the conquest of Macedonia, Greece and parts of the Western Europe, new clothing elements were introduced. Some of them were “tagged” unjustly as barbaric (e.g. braccae). The lavish reinterpretation of these elements became even more visible during the period of the Empire, when beside the already known European garments, new typologies from the oriental origin were adopted by certain strata of the Roman society.
Unlike the reconstructed costumes in the set “Recreated historical costumes” (www.flickr.com/photos/nikolaeftimov/sets/72157621107172882/), based on the observation of the iconographic sources and researches of written texts from the adequate epochs and relevant history-of-costume bibliography, the costumes in the new series are free reinterpretations and are only used as the visual elements that help to tell (French: raconter; Italian: raccontare) my personal story of Elagabalus.
Dedicated in 2004, this Boone County Kentucky park contains 43 acres and has a 1.3 mile paved path with a great view of the Ohio River. There are porta potty's and picnic shelters at both ends of the trail. Located on the downriver end of rural route 8, it's never crowded and litter free. It's a gem for a little solitude.
