This woman could be Rosa, an old woman of Reus, who died when lighting a candle with which she was illuminated. The company Gas Natural cut to her the gas and light supply without warning to the social services of the city council and in spite of the prohibition of cut off supply to people at risk of extreme poverty. That there are governments and multimillion dollar companies that allow this to happen causes me the worst of shame.

In the heart of the old town, the Palais de l'Isle, a former prison and Palais de Justice (law courts), is today home to the Annecy History museum. Near this symbolic building of the 12th century, the Sainte-Claire street is also an unmissable place during the visit for its beautiful arcaded houses. Towering over the town, the museum-castle, former residence of the counts of Geneva and the dukes of Genevois-Nemours, is dedicated to archaeology, ethnology, art, history and alpine lakes.

This one is dedicated to Alan who thinks I only show Blue skies
It was a grey, warm and a little drizzly in London on Monday. However I will not complain its been almost two and half years since I visited the capital thanks to the virus. It did feel little odd being in such large city again with so many people . We walked a lot to avoid using the Tube though did make one trip underground. Managed to get two a couple of Art shows and had a good dinner before the train journey back to Hull. It was fantastic to be in the heart of a lively city once again
This is a shot looking west along the Thames from waterloo bridge. It shows the tower of Big Ben rising over the Palace of Westminster . Westminster is framed by the Hungerford rail bridge. Big Ben has been hidden by scaffolding for a few years and it was nice to see it uncovered and looking rather fine. Below it you can see that the repairs to the Houses of Parliament are still ongoing
