Hurricane Dorian is making its way up the u.s coastline, currently lashing the east coast of central Florida. Dorian has devastated the Bahamas, killing at least seven people there and is being called an historic tragedy

Fondazione Prada, co-chaired by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli since 1995, is an institution dedicated to contemporary art and culture From 1993 to 2010, the Fondazione has organised 24 solo shows at its exhibition spaces in Milan, conceived as dialogues with acclaimed contemporary artists.
Before posting this photo I was stumbling about a long report of Siena. A female lion, part of the Marsh Pride Lions, who was a star of the TV show BBC’s Big Cat Diary since 1996. A group of lions were accompanied by the BBC team over many years. 2014 Siena got badly injured by a buffalo attack and the healing process (it took over one year because the wound always opened again) where documented by the Wildlife veterinarians who are doing great jobs in the National Parks by the way, caring and take care of the animals when injured. Sadly Siena and other members of the group passed away in 2015. Local farmers poisoned them.
So this photo dedicated this pround animals and in memory of Siena and the other lions.

We have spent one night over there but was not very happy cause our room was dedicated to Paul McCartney, they should know John Lennon was my idol, anyway patchouli scented soap in the bathroom and flowers on the table have made it all good :)

A chapel dedicated to St. Michael was probably built on the Treurenberg hill as early as the 9th century. In the 11th century it was replaced by a Romanesque church. In 1047, Lambert II, Count of Leuven founded a chapter in this church and organized the transportation of the relics of the martyr St. Gudula, housed before then in Saint Gaugericus Church on Saint-Géry Island. The patron saints of the church, St. Michael and St. Gudula, are also the patron saints of the city of Brussels.
In the thirteenth century, Henry I, Duke of Brabant ordered two round towers to be added to the church. Henry II, Duke of Brabant instructed the building of a Gothic collegiate church in 1226. The choir was constructed between 1226 and 1276. It took about 300 years to complete the entire church. It was completed just before the reign of the emperor Charles V commenced in 1519.

The Princess Theatre was Hopkinsville’s first theater dedicated solely to moving pictures. Located on the south side East Ninth Street between Main and Virginia streets, the 600-seat theater opened on November 27, 1911 with the original name of the Photoplay Palace. The Princess closed and reopened a number of times between its first movie in 1911 to its last in 1972. Following a destructive fire in 1942, the structure was rebuilt with the Art Deco facade that graces East Ninth Street to this day (as seen in the photograph above).

Dedicated to all those who lost a childhood friend or a childhood to war. For all those who think war is the answer, they should remember that there is a world that exists in every life that is destroyed by war.
I processed this photo of my son and his friend from our weekend desert trip and it immediately took me back to my days of playing with my best childhood friend in the dirt lots of Afghanistan. Then came the Soviet Union war and my family, after years of living in that war zone had to leave. Unfortunately I lost a childhood during those many years of war and my best childhood friend.
When I was younger, I buried all the emotions, but unfortunately mid life has forced me to reflect. I think that on the subject of war, humanity needs some deep and honest reflecting and thinking.

My visit to Monza Cathedral dedicated to John the Baptist. In its original essence completed by 603. Inside is the "iron Crown" one of the oldest royal insignia of Christendom made in the Early Middle Ages. It consists of a circlet of gold and jewels fitted around a central silver band, which tradition held to be made of iron beaten out of a nail of the True Cross.

The Monumen Nasional (or Tugu Monas, the National Monument tower) is a 450 ft (137 m) tall tower in Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia's Independence. Its construction began in 1961 under Sukarno and was not finished until 1975 under Suharto. It is topped by a 14.5 tonnes flame-shaped bronze plated in 35 kg (1,125 troy ounces) of gold.
Visitors can take a lift up to a platform with a good view of Medan Merdeka Park, Istiqlal Mosque and the city, if it is not too foggy. Inside the base of the monument is an exhibition on the country's Declaration of Independence and several dioramas showing the history of Indonesia (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
