Lady Gaga appeared on the Academy Awards stage Sunday night to deliver a surprise performance of “Hold My Hand,” the Oscar-nominated song from “Top Gun: Maverick” — and the only thing more startling than that it happened at all, after earlier denials, was just how stripped-down, yet enormously effective, her reading of the song was.

Gaga had originally been expected to skip the show due to the filming demands of the sequel “Joker: Folie à Deux,” but, in a speedy change of plans, the star was confirmed to be performing by Variety sources early Sunday morning.
Befitting the last-minute nature of the performance, Gaga was more dressed-down than she’s ever been in a television performance, belting out her ballad in a T-shirt, shorts and with little apparent in the way of hair or makeup glam. The song got a surprisingly rootsy, rock-band production, as opposed to the far slicker soundtrack version, and was interrupted by whoops and hollers from a clearly captivated audience.

After the ceremony, besides getting the survivors, their families and friends back to a cooler place, someone had to stay and pick everything up...even one of the hottest days of the summer. Heat index was likely 100 or 105 by the end of the ceremony.

They had three local preachers come to the year three birthday party of ABC to dedicate the babies they had gotten in the last year. I really like the look of the mama that is holding the baby here.
3,2:1 (or a little more, not sure) magnification This very tiny salticid has just 2 mm. Very hard to photo. These days are not usual to find salticids. They love sunshine as Singapore seems to have a lot. As I told you, here the weather keeps raining...

Due the fact this salticid is juvenile (2 mm) is not possible to determine even the genus level. Genitalia is not well developed, so it is impossible to get species level, and sometimes the genus level.
(my cmos sensor must be cleaned. :( I don´t know how can I clean by safe...)
2014 Beattie Foundation annual Gala is dedicated to raising funds
to help return our D Day Veterans to the fabled beaches of Normandy, for
the final, formal, commemoration of D Day on the 6th of June, 2014.
This exclusive event was set aboard the historic HMS Belfast
which took part in the Normandy Landings, 70 years ago.
The guests stepped back in time whilst exploring the warship,
which tells the story of life on board during the Second World War.
Silver service gourmet dinner was preceded by a champagne
reception.

The Kettle Club, a motorcycle club dedicated to the 1970s Suzuki GT750, returned to Oakham Castle today, Friday 21 July 2023. The club last visited the castle in 2018.
These motorcycles were made famous by Britain's 1976 and 1977 world champion motorcycle racer Barry Sheene, who owned one and raced motorcycles for Suzuki with GT750 engines.
The Kettle Club was formed in 1980 by a group of GT750 enthusiasts, and today has over 500 members worldwide.
Barry Sheene was a household name in the 1970s, and his association with the Suzuki GT750 helped to make the motorcycle one of the most popular in the world. The Kettle Club is a great way to celebrate the history of the GT750, and it's a great opportunity to see some of these iconic motorcycles in person.
“Children's Day -- a day dedicated to children -- is observed as an event across the world to celebrate childhood and promote awareness about children's welfare. Today teacher dressed up as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and she talked about Jawaharlal Nehru and explained “Why Children’s Day is celebrated?” Children were so happy to see him and enjoyed his presence among them. After that all enjoyment there was a good time for the kids watching a wonderful “PUPPET SHOW”. Children were showed all different puppets dancing with the music. Children enjoyed dancing with the puppets and it was awesome time for children Playgroup kids were donned in beautiful “POLKA DOT” costumes in various colours. They enjoyed their first Children Day in the school.”

Ross Craig (1926-2012) was a local historian born in Stockton and dedicated much of his life promoting and conserving the history of Stockton, NSW. He possessed a wealth of knowledge about the suburb and was a founding member of the Stockton Historical Society and co-editor of its magazine. Pat Craig supported her husband’s passion for history, and together they made a great contribution to the Stockton and Newcastle communities. Diorama Museum
Opened at the beginning of this century, the Diorama Museum was created interested ub history, the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and their descendants. The main spotlight of the exposition is the mini-diorama dedicated to the battles of 1942-1943, which took place at the Chizhovsky foothold. The second floor offers visitors the chance to get acquainted with the history of the Voronezh aeroclub, which later became the foundational unit of the Airborne Troops. Also in one of the exposition halls, you can find a collection of all the documents and items of the Navy of the period of the reign of Peter the Great. Guests can see the anchor of a Turkish frigate and the ordinances of the king himself. Next to the museum building, you can also find some real military equipment (tanks, cannons and even a real helicopter). The official website of the Diorama Museum is diorama-vrn.ru.
Voronezh is a city and the administrative centre of Voronezh Oblast in southwestern Russia straddling the Voronezh River, located 12 kilometers (7.5 mi) from where it flows into the Don River. The city sits on the Southeastern Railway, which connects western Russia with the Urals and Siberia, the Caucasus and Ukraine, and the M4 highway (Moscow–Voronezh–Rostov-on-Don–Novorossiysk).
