In an effort to declutter the kitchen, and to keep them from getting random grease from cooking on them, and to give the fridge better airflow... I moved my cookbooks and cooking magazines to the basement library. Then because I am obsessive I stacked the magazines in date order since 2000. ^_^
A few years ago, I bought this Daruma from an Asian grocery store. Back then, I had a lot of goals that I want to accomplished thus I did not know what to wish or focus on.
As I looked back last year 2017, what I notice was I wanted to improve my self. But I must start from inside. So I read a lot of self help books. My mind must be at the right set before I can do anything. I spent most of my morning reading first. Like how to become a goal oriented person, how to not procrastinate, how to set goals, how to say NO, how to care less but only care what I want, etc. Then I use bujo to help me become a goal oriented person.
This year 2018, I wanted to declutter my house. What I notice is that my morning has a lot of visual cues coming into my brain. Ideally I would like to have calm morning to start the day, but that doesn’t happen very often. As I declutter my stuff what I notice is that I am able to focus, I am a bit calmer (that’s rare).
I don’t have a room that’s dedicated for me anymore. My room is now my daughter room. So my stuff is everywhere all around the house thus contributing to clutter. Crafting time is rare nowadays with toddler.
I think once my house is in good happy condition I can start focusing on my craft, my work (like studying be more productive) and better Mom for my daughter.

Já que não fiz declutter no banheiro (porque não tinha o que jogar fora), ataquei os arquivos do escritório. Saiu um saco cheio de recibos, fotos, manuais e cds desnecessários.
Whoa, it's already day 15 of my 30 Day project, that means I'm halfway done! In honor of the milestone, today I decided to Deal with the last under-cabinet light for the kitchen originally mentioned on Day 1. So I dug the light out of the kitchen junk drawer, the 3M strips and hooks out of the tool kit, and got it all hooked up. I even cleaned and re-arranged the little counter while I was there.
I got some serious clutter-clearing done today. To see the "BEFORE" picture, go to www.43things.com/things/view/876805.

I Try to use natural frame of the tree and surroundings, also focusing on the water fall and fading the exterior, using a tripod to keep the image steady, declutter the picture of unnecesary items, fill the frame, and use the sun but also the clouds to have an even color and lighting.
Cleaning the living room floor and surfaces for Apartment Therapy's 20/20 Home Cure. Obviously need to work on the landing area so coats, shoes and bags have space in their home. Also have to process kiddie artwork and declutter toys. But I found two missing puzzle pieces under the mat, chucked empty Play-Doh containers and peeled stickers and wiped fingerpaint off the floor.
So, last week the lovely Maisy Mouse and Toby came over for a play date. The boys were playing so nicely that lunch extended into tea time. Oh, and she helped me with my badly needed declutter by accepting a bag of E's handmedowns. One of the things we chatted about was how it's not fun being a grown up and having to spend your money on boring things that you need rather than exciting things that you want (a new mattress v a wide angle lens was my case in point).
Imagine my delight when I opened the post today to find an, erm, actually I don't know what it's called, it's like a kind of wide angle equivalent of a macro filter if you see what I mean. What an incredibly thoughtful and super cool thank you present is that?! I'm bowled over and can't wait to play with it properly.
Top shot, no wide angle filter thingy. Bottom shot, with wide angle filter thingy.
I started some Spring cleaning today and decided to rehome some dolls. Next I need to declutter the doll clothes and shoes cupboard. I have no idea where to start there.

About 25 years ago, the photographs were left to my parents in a Will by their next door neighbour of 30 years. At the time I said I'd look after them. Decluttering the attic I found the box with them all in. Many of them were taken in Norwich photography studios. I'm trying to date them as there's not much information on them. I guess they must be late 19C. They are not being added to the declutter pile. I'll carry on looking after them.
“Spring cleaning” was a tiny bit of a unique beast in 2020. It was not about lightening up your life and acquiring all set for spring and summer time it was just a thing to do in the chaos that was quarantine. You probably cleaned and purged each individual single detail in your home—what else could we possibly clear in 2021?!
I despise to split it to you, but that very first bout of quarantine was… a yr in the past. We have all accumulated a sweatpants selection our former selves would gawk at, 1-far too-many TikTok tips, and a load of new hobbies. To say that our residences are as pristine as they have been in April 2020 would be a huge overstatement. But you don’t have to go all-in on a 7 days-extended purge yet again this 12 months. Rather, decide for a person room in your residence that you can truly dive deep in to clear, declutter, and manage every weekend. Wanting to know in which to start? In accordance to your Zodiac indicator, here’s what wants the most perform:
Camera Roll
You just can't be expecting an Aries to not be the just one snapping films and pics just about everywhere you go they adore to keep on to memories, primarily with the enjoyable-crammed life they tend to guide. Insert in the hundreds of worthless screenshots they do not even don't forget preserving, the memes they despatched to their pals, and the aged shots they share any time the matter of “cute toddler pictures” will come up, and an Aries camera roll is a wild place to be.

It's day 20 of my 30-Day challenge, and today I freaked out a whole bunch of my coworkers by cleaning out my desk. We're in the middle of a "not-merger" so they were a little concerned when I started emptying desk drawers onto the floor, but once I re-assured them it was just a cleaning spree, everybody was happy to raid the piles of office supplies, computer parts, and random cables. And at the end of it all, I went from 5 overflowing drawers full of rat's nests of cabling, to 5 nearly empty drawers with their contents sorted by type and organized neatly. Plus a few more items to add to the Donate pile that I don't need at the office anymore.
I love my kids. I love my kids. I love my kids. But in this picture I was counting down until bedtime because sometimes when they tag-team me it's a little too much.
a lot of crap, that's what! i usually like to keep things simple, but holy moly, i have a lot of stuff on my fridge. I really have to declutter it!
Yay my new shelves are up. I have a second set on the opposite wall, but the place is kind of cluttered and I'd rather straighten up first.
This is the wall that just got painted.
Apparently denim with denim is now a fashion crime. Mind you I found a bill from 1997 in the pocket of the denim jacket and I think the shirt's even older. Perhaps I need to declutter!
Her er i gang!
Sewing will there be, but first we had to declutter. Here we are at work!

I don’t like spiders. It doesn’t matter if they are a common house spider or a far more dangerous one like a brown recluse or worse. I understand many people will argue most spiders found in and around your home are beneficial predators and will help get rid of ants, wasps, flies, mosquitoes and other such pests but then again I don’t want those in my home either!
The common house spider doesn’t mind living with humans. You may normally find the cobwebs of the common house spider in upper corners of your walls, at angles of window frames, and sometimes near doors that you open frequently. They use these tangled webs where breezes or other air currents can bring in their prey.
The common house spider can be a yellowish-brown or even gray in color with chevron markings on its abdomen. The common house spider poses little, if no threat to humans. They are not aggressive and will only bite if provoked however the common house spider may be hiding in a spot it feels is a safe haven, such as an old shoe, but may see you putting your foot into this shoe it has recently made a home as an act of aggression so I prefer taking steps to keep spiders and other pests out of my home to begin with.
Part of your regular home maintenance to control spiders in your home can be:
Declutter your home regularly to remove potential spider hiding spots.
Vacuum frequently to remove spider webs and spider egg sacs. This should include under furniture.
Pests require a water source to survive. Check and repair plumbing leaks that could be inviting pests into your home.
Clean and prune potted house plants that may be harboring spiders.
Seal cracks and crevices around the outside of the house using a silicone-based caulk to reduce potential entry points.
If you enjoy keeping windows open, be sure to check and repair torn window screens that may be allowing pests easy access into your home.
Replace exterior incandescent lights with warm colored fluorescent light bulbs to reduce attracting bugs that spiders like to eat.
Remember: the common house spider has a difficult time thriving in a clean, decluttered home with low humidity and fewer indoor insects.
Spider control will take the combined effort of both you as the homeowner and your professional pest control operator. If you have questions about common house spiders and keeping them out of your home, call or contact Bio-Tech Pest Control at 281-296-6022.

A collection of 6 years worth of junk. I need to clear some space so I can take over my husband's workbench. (Can barely see it now behind all the mess.)
We cleared out a bunch, but still have tons more to do. We had stuff from back in our Army days. It's amazing what you can amass and just not use.
So, while I'm embarrassed of this mess, I'm posting it so later I can show you how wonderfully improved it turned out with a good purging.
'Ruthlessness' was the word of the day. :)
