Derelict buildings and railway siding in Taree, NSW, Australia.

I love old buildings. I like to imagine how long they must have been there, who may have lived there, and the memories people may have had there.

Like many volunteer-run railways, the Cholsey and Wallingford Railway has more stock on site than it has the capacity to restore.

January 16 - in the Bronx... I don't go there often, but I should - great details and decay.

Urban decay in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Went out earlier this morning to snap some pictures around our local cemetery.

 

This is a warn out bench near the small church building. I opted for a vintage warn film type effect done using PS CS6

I was just going to square off the decayed bit, but, I was persuaded by a keen eye that the darkness above was appealing.. I agree. ;)

I know this is similar to a previous upload, but I've been rather surprised with the response to it and I think compositionally this is better with more emphasis on the foreground interest so I'd be interested in your thoughts...

Boats as before , colour rust.

strobist: one orange geled strob on the wheel, blue geled for the walls and red geled for the main door frame at the front and at the back. almost full moon lightinng the right side pillars and the tower at the back

The suspended ceiling would have hidden the decay above at least.

An old power station. Those stairs lead up all the way to the roof. The higher you get the more steps are missing. But they are stable.

 

I've been hella busy lately, and haven't taken a lot of photos, but I was driving by the railroad tracks in town and the juxtaposition of these fresh pretty weeds and the decaying walls of a warehouse by the tracks caught my eye, and I stopped one day to get a few shots.
